Symple Lending is not a legit business. I received a letter in the mail with pre-approval for a personal loan. When I called the telephone number ************ on the letter on January 30, **** Tuesday and spoke with representative ************* number ********** he took my information including social security number with my Email and stated He will call me back and never return a call! When I call his direct number ************ several times there is no answer. Another fake telephone number for Symple Lending .This business and phone numbers seems like a scam company. Please investigate so no one else gets hurt. Thanks in advance.Business response

On 14 Jan **** I submitted an online application for a loan precipitated by a **** delivered flyer with an offer for said loan and a website address with a special offer number based on my being pre-qualified. I applied and was texted my loan offer was waiting, but that the business was closed. I responded that I would be available to speak by phone today, 15 Jan **** after 9am PDT. Unfortunately, I had an emergency come up that made me unavailable until later in the day. Symple Lending used Artificial Intelligence to phone me from different phone numbers in a harassing manner beginning at 739am, then again at 829am, then 900am, 1005am, 1256pm, and at 118pm, the last call I finally answered (I heard the last three calls), and a woman said, "hello" after I said, "hello", and then hung up the phone. I did give explicit permission for this company to contact me after 9am today, 15 Jan ****, but not to call my number repeatedly by robodial and not leave a message in a harassing manner, and particularly when I answered the phone, to not *********. Under no circumstances did I give permission for this company to call me prior to 9am today. I made an outbound, recorded call to Symple Lending at 218pm and before inquiring about my loan application, told the loan rep about the calls received and he admitted that his company engages in AI robo calls that do not leave messages and excused that harassing behavior that my choice to fill out the application gave them permission to engage in such harassment. I told him he was wrong. He became so insolent, I requested to speak to a manager. First denied and told no manager was at his offices, then one became available. This manager took a few minutes but took the same tact as the loan rep, acting passive aggressively and ultimately "solving" the situation by unilaterally putting me on their do not call list and telling me his company will not do business with me. This company uses crummy tactics. First off when I seen this in the mail, I thought it was from the government. Due to the fact that on envelope it says economic relief 2023, second I do not know where this company gets their info ? I do not have Any outstanding loans in my name and it says so on my credit report, and my report is frozen has been for 4 years also I am on the no solicitation list for such mail . Wirh all 3 credit reporting agencies.So why are they making people think this is an important piece of mail ?Initial Complaint

Received a letter in the mail regarding a personal loan. I applied through their website and almost immediately received a text telling me they had my loan amount and rate ready. I texted back and forth for a little bit regarding the required phone call as I was in a work meeting and couldnt speak at the time. When I followed up today (the next day) via phone the man I spoke with told me they actually began marketing a little too early and are not actually licensed to lend in Washington yet, but theyre hoping to be this coming Monday. This is in direct opposition to the text that told me they had my loan amount and rate ready. It is misleading, untruthful and a shady business practice. Based on this alone I would never do business with this company. If that were actually the case the text should have indicated the same information, and not that they had my rate and loan amount ready, along with the emails telling me my pre approved loan amount offer expires today.Business response

This company is unrelenting in robo calling me non-stop. It is an evasive violation of my privacy. I have requested multiple times by phone and in wiring asking them to stop calling me. Still, they continue to all me despite the fact that my phone number is on the national do not call list.Business response

We are in receipt of your complaint related to Robocalls you have received under our company name. We would like to assure you that we have not made any robocalls to your number or any number. To be clear, none of our numbers are outgoing phone numbers and therefore could not have made the calls to you. We are aware that our numbers have been spoofed by another company seeking to cause our company harm. As a result, we have taken swift action and filed complaints with the authorities including the FBI. We have also hired a private company to track down the wrong doers so that they may be criminally prosecuted for their actions.
We are genuinely sorry that you have gotten caught up in this vicious attack on us. We have deactivated any numbers affected so you should not be receiving any more of these calls.. Our CEO is happy to personally speak with you regarding this issue if you have any questions.

I received a pre-approved offer for personal loan up to:$50,000. I have been te receiving the same offer in the mail for a few months now. The offer has 30 day expiration date on it. I finally went to their website, to validate their legitimacy. Initially, I typed simpleloan.com and was talked to a parked domain. Anyhow, after reading their Truspilot reviews, I used their invitation code online. They text me right away, and then, they called me. I spoke to **** with British accent. He asked me my year of birth and my ss number. I told him, I was skeptical, but he raised his voice a little. Trusting the reviews I gave him the info. Because he told me, if I am not approved, theyll delete my info. He gave me a 949 area code number, and told me hes call back from that number. Two hours later, there is no call. Initially, **** told me it wont affect my score, if they run my credit. After getting my info, he told me it would affect my credit score, just a little bit. I hope I made the right decision, by sharing my info with these people. Usually, lending companies would give you their decision within minutes.Business response

Upon a thorough review of your internal file, our team member; **** didn't mention that the prospect's credit would take a hard hit. We had an internal system maintenance that day which caused the delay of the application status. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
Our Customer Experience Manager tried to reach out to the prospect so that we can finish the application. It should be noted as well that Symple Lending takes the highest priority when it comes to personal information.
