I am writing to file a complaint against Rumble Boxing Los Olivos regarding a series of issues I have experienced w/their services & billing practices. I was a member of this gym for nearly a year. When I initially signed up (senior citizen), the gym offered 7-8 classes per day, which suited my schedule well.In early 2024, the gym was sold from a large corporation to an individual owner. Within 2 months of the new ownership, the class schedule was drastically reduced to 3-4 classes per day, primarily during times that cater to "mom hours," as confirmed by staff. The new schedule was not provided a month in advance, preventing members from making informed decisions about whether to continue our memberships.On my last day at the gym, I met the new owner to discuss the issues with the revised schedule. He assured me he would find a way to resolve the situation, including a potential collaboration w/ neighboring Pilates gym to offer flexible workout options. Despite his promises, I never received any follow-up. I left numerous voicemail messages, but none were returned.Consequently, I decided to cancel my membership. To avoid being charged for the next month, I canceled my card the day before the billing date. However, the charge still went through. I disputed the charge w/ my credit card company, but Rumble Boxing rebutted my dispute, citing a contract requirement for a 30-day cancellation notice.I believe this contract is not enforceable as the gym did not honor the class schedule that was in place when I signed up & failed to provide adequate notice for the schedule changes. This lack of notice prevented me from determining whether I could continue w/ their services or needed to find a different gym offering morning classes. Therefore, I am seeking assistance in resolving this issue. I request that Rumble Boxing ********** refund the disputed charge & address their failure to provide timely notice of schedule changes. I appreciate your support. Thank you.
