      They locked my account as soon as I canceled and requested my money to be transfered. They are a scam company that think they can just keep people's money. They should be shut down.

      Beware before using Acorns! I wish I had done my research first. After canceling my account with them, they still proceeded to take a monthly subscription fee out of my checking account. When I log onto the Acorns app, it still says my subscription cancellation is pending. This has been going on for months and there are no options on the app for me to go in and remove my banking info or contact customer service. If I could give negative stars, I would.

      SUPER unhappy that my account was locked and I need to wait unknown amount days after waiting on hold 1 hour, uploading document and then customer service chat another half hour I sent money to my own chase account. Most inconvenient thing ever GIVE ME MY MONEY

      Do not invest with these scammers. It will be all fine until you try to get your money, they will lock the account. I have had my account for about 6 years and I have done small contributions but now when I decided to withdraw and cancel the account is when they decided to "Suspend" my account. Dealing with people from outside the country asking for all sorts of personal and delicate information like social security proves. I am genuinely scared for my information at this moment and don't think it's safe at all.

      If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. All in all I would say thta Acorns is a scam and users should be aware before using. I have been a member since 2020 (4 years) and I decided to start using their banking feature due to how many times my Acct.1 card information was being "stolen". I decided to link a shared account that my Fiance and I use for our family spending so I could easily transfer my half of that money to that account each month. I also have my Acct. 1 linked to transfer certain funds to that one as well. Fast Forward my first paycheck comes through and I try to transfer funds to my Acct. 1 and the system will not allow me to transfer funds. I kept getting an OOPS error msg. So, I decide I will just transfer everything through Acct 2 since it is linked to Acct 1. I set up all of the transfers and they are accepted. Fast forward to later that day and I try to use my card and it is not working. I received and email saying my entire account, not just my card was frozen so at this point I can't even log in and access my account to verify that my funds are still there. Their email tells me what the issue is so I submit the doc and instantly hop on Chat to see if someone can help me now that the docs were submitted since I had multiple transfers set to come out of that account. Fast forward over 24 hours and after speaking to 3 people I get a supervisor who tells me she cant even unlock my account and the transfers were cancelled. All of this is happening mind you while I have no access to even view my accounts. I understand locking a card due to fraudulant activity but locking an entire account access even after proper documentation has been submitted is absurd and im questioning its legality. User beware. They have no one in place who can actually help you resolve any issues and while locked out of your account they will cancel transactions etc. without verifying whether they are fraudulant or not.

      did a referral program for inviting 4 users and was supposed to receive $1,100. everyone completed it correctly and they never paid me out and support says I or one of my invited users did something wrong (which i was in person with each referral and I know all were completed correctly). I would beware. scammers.

      I reffered 3 of my friends for $1100 refferal offer. My friends used my unique link and deposited $5 to theor account to complete requirments. Accorns removed refferal history from their portal. So I contacted support to check the history and they said no refferals in my account. Every time they asking me to contact support through my friends account. Its a fake promo. It seems like scam to attract people.

      I did not realize that by giving them my personal checking account information, they would withdraw $5/month for a "subscription fee". Acorns ended up pocketing more of my money, than I had originally invested, so I am at a loss right now.I tried to file a claim with my bank, but my bank said that since I gave Acorns my checking account information, that is technically an agreement between me and Acorns, so my bank cannot file a claim against Acorns for this.

      After three years of investing, I withdrew funds from my investment account. They mistakenly withdrew from an attached checking account that had $0 funds because I never used that feature. They now claim that I owe them for double payment. When I verified and proved to them that my personal bank account never received the excess funds, the suspended and locked me out of my account. After a week of speaking to several people, I was finally able to get back into my account. I am currently working on getting my funds transferred out and closing the account. I will reinvest my money elsewhere.
