Over half a year since the project has started, McCormack Roofing has failed to perform roofing and solar project. The business has made multiple unapproved change orders to the project, and has now abandoned the project. After months of continuous attempts to reach the company employees, the company has stopped communicating and has abandoned the project. Employees at all levels, to include the owner have been involved, and the project is still abandoned and incomplete.

The customer is correct that there were some delays with this project and communication was not perfect. Around the time of installation our staff was stretched extremely thin for two reasons (1) we were coming off a winter season with historically high rainfall, causing repair requests to spike to previously unseen levels AND (2) the gate for NEM 2.0 was closing with SCE and SDG&E in April 2023, causing solar demand to spike to previously unseen levels.
Coincidentially, the project was installed around the time of the customers review. A PTO was later issued by the utility for the solar system in June, signifying that the solar installation was fully operational.

I called in at the top of the week about my 5 yr old, under warranty roof leaking. They said someone would call to schedule service within 48 hours. That window came and went. With another big storm in the forecast next week I called back Friday morning. Same thing - "someone will call you today". Today has come and gone, the office is now closed and I guess my newly installed drywall on my remodel will be ruined next week. If you're looking for a new roof, I'd consider their post install warranty service.Business response

This review is really unfair. We were bombarded with repair requests at this time because of the historically high rainfall. We simply did not have the man power to get to every request that came in instantly. And as we were scrambling to get people in, and constantly shuffling our schedule, the time it took to get back to people was sometimes longer than expected because we were trying to move things around so that we could call them back with good news. We ultimately called this customer back but they were not happy with our turn-around time. There was only so much we could do with the staff we had.
