In February 2021, BBB investigated Bael Wellness' business practices. This investigation was prompted by consumer complaints and reviews that allege the business fails to fulfill customer orders, respond to consumer inquiries, and honor guarantees.
BBB reached out to the business requesting the following information be provided to BBB:
- Details regarding how customers can reach the business if they require assistance (Please provide the most up to date information that consumers may use to reach the business, What is the process for responding to consumers who contact the business?)
- Details regarding the fulfillment and shipping process of customer orders (How are orders fulfilled before shipment? Does the business have a general time frame for fulfillment? What is the process to notify consumers of their order status?)
- What process must customers follow to receive the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee? How does the business honor these guarantees?
Additionally, BBB requested Bael Wellness to modify, substantiate, or discontinue claims on their website that read: "More importantly, it cures back pain and joint pain naturally"; "FDA approved facilities"; "Therapeutic Seat Cushions. Approved by ACA."; and "30 Days Money Back Guarantee". Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising.
BBB's Code of Advertising Section 1 states, advertisements should be truthful, sincere offers to sell. Advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request. Code of Advertising Section 20 states, when using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” the advertiser should clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to the sale which could include putting it on the seller’s website. Code of Advertising Section 30 states, advertisers should ensure that testimonials and endorsement are not misleading and represent the current opinion of the endorser. Code of Advertising Section 34 states, claims relating to performance and results should be backed up by reliable evidence.
As of February 26, 2021, the business has not responded to BBB’s request.
