    I was initially told by Guardian that I had a much larger tax liability than we did. Consequently being naive they conned me into giving them $15,000 They misled me into believing that we were liable for over ******* to IRS due to the fact that they said we owed money on the sale of our primary residents in which we resided for 22.years. We had no liability. They also claimed that we had back taxes that we had not paid there were circumstances that were being mediated at the time but they also claim that taxes were not filed for 2 years which was absolutely false. We had hired another CPA firm who claimed that they were grossly mistaken and that our tax liability was minimal. Since we began dealing with Guardian tax we have never received a statement an itemized breakdown or even an email as to what the status was and what they have done for the money that we have paid. The only thing that we have received from Guardian in the last 12 months were automatic email sent out telling us to sign documents for taxes that were already being handled which I had already explained to them twice. I am a 70 year old senior I believe they took advantage of me. My wife has been hospitalized we have incurred a tremendous amount of medical debt and I would like to recover my money so I can pay my bills.

    I'm ***************************** I was a customer with Guardian Tax until today July 30th 2024. On Friday July 26th 2024 i was called by a representative of the company named ******. she called regarding my payment that was due and i told her unfortunately due to my household and family being impacted by hurricane ***** a week in a half prior to my payment date that i would have to reschedule my payment for August 9th. she agreed and when i hung up she charged my card for $135.42 even though we agreed on the new date. The funds were all i had left to get into a hotel. When i called my agent 2 *********************** i was told that i could not have my money refunded even though nothing was ever put on auto pay or authorized by me. I have only missed 1 payment before and in doing so my card was charged twice by 2 *********************** in which was not authorized. All the company's phone calls are monitored and recorded. When i spoke to him about that situation and told him we agreed on 1 payment not two to catch up he refunded the extra payment saying it was a mistake on his end. Now in this current situation due to the hurricane when i asked him about refunding my $135.42 on Friday July 26th i was told he could not at first because i signed a contract. i let him no my card was never set up on auto pay and i never authorized any payment. I even explained to him that me and the representative set up a new payment date due to the hurricane leaving me homeless. He told me my money would be refunded in 2 business days and also made me reply with a text saying it wont happen again which i have saved. when i checked with my bank the next day i was told no refund was ever put into place so i would have to dispute the charge. In doing so when i reached out Monday 7/30 2024 to 2 *********************** about my money he told me i would not get a refund since i disputed the charge and the company canceled my policy immediately. I am very upset that a company would do an individual like this especially after a hurricane!
