I am receiving threatening emails from American Career College regarding a student loan which I already settled with collection in 2018. Although I have already paid off this loan, I am being pressured to pay it again or else risk my wages being garnished.

This response is regarding the Better Business Bureau complaint filed on August 9, 2022. In this complaint you describe that you attended American Career College in ********** and have repaid your loans in full. We have reviewed your records and are able to confirm that you have repaid your federal loans. However, you also had an ACC payment plan for the remainder of your tuition that was not covered by the federal loans. The College would like to work with you directly to review your account and provide additional information behind the outstanding balance. I began attending American career college on August 30, 2021 and was enrolled in their Pharmacy tech program. I was approved for financial aid and believed that was what would be used to pay for a part of my enrollment and I would pay the remainder over a course of 5 years according to financial aid directors. I completed 3 days of class and ended up dropping out of the school on September 2,2021 due to requirements of the covid vaccine and my inability to receive it at the time. I spoke with the woman who enrolled me about dropping and recueved a call from the financial director that I was dropping out, I brought back ALL of their equipment and belongings and was told specifically that my financial aid loan would be released and unused unless I wanted to return at a later date, which I did not. Months later I continue to receive emails from tuition options about an amount I owe of over $600! I spoke with them about this and said there was nothing they could do because it was charged by the ********** had to contact them... I have tried calling, emailing and have been unsuccessful in everything I am about to go to the school now and try to speak with someone to try to resolve this but I would just like my debt settled I did not attend this school over 7 *********** have a policy that if you drop before day 7 there will be no charges or financial responsibility I signed paperwork only for this reason!! This loan is now about to negatively report to the credit bureau and affect my life negatively even more and this isn't even my debt. Please help me settle this, this school is a whole scam and are only looking for poor lost souls looking to better themselves with a career only to take them for all the money they have! Please help me and please report this for anyone else this is SO WRONG on every level and I can't even reach anyone to resolve my issueBusiness response
