The contract started in 2020 when contractor was hired to do work. Work included installing three Daiken units in apartment with one condenser outside. They did not work. In 2022, in an attempt to resolve the issue, he installed three condensers outside. The AC part of the units has not worked right. The AC comes on but water pours out of the condensation lines all over walls and on/over cabinets in kitchen unit. Contractor came out to try and fix it but it was not fixed. They charged a service fee which I did not pay since units have never worked. I asked them if they got building permits for the extra two units and they said it was not necessary. Well, summer time is coming and I need to get these units working with AC. I had another contractor come out yesterday to look at them and he said they need water pumps to work and that the lines were installed going up and that is why they don’t work but drain water all over. The units cannot be moved up (which I thought might work) because they put big holes in the wall installing these apparently. They also said that the three condensers outside are all connected to one circuit which is not up to code. So I have a couple issues here and the original contractor refuses to warranty it. They said the soonest they can come out is mid June.

      To whom it may concern,

We are writing this letter in regards to claim #******** for Kingsburg, Electric, Solar and Air INC. DBA JDS Electric. In 2020 JDS Electric was hired by ******** ****** to install an entire system with 3 heads. When the system JDS Electric installed continued to fail we decided to give her three individual systems at NO COST to the customer in case the system continued to have issues they would have 2 additional units as back up. We simply replaced the existing unit with the 3 new units. We did not charge the customer for the numerous times we sent our technicians to do a service call on the customers property as the customer was stating the units were not wording, and we discovered the tenant at the time had been messing with the units. We advised the homeowner this would void the warranty if the tenant continued to touch the units. We did not void the warranty and continued doing repair work for the customer, once again at no charge. The last time we were dispatched to the home was Feb. 2022 because the unit was not cooling. At this time we decided to charge the customer a service call fee as we had previously asked the home owner to inform the tenant to not touch the units as it would void the warranty, but the tenant continued to tinker with the units. We had done out plenty of times before at no cost to repair the damages the tenant had been doing to the system and we believed it was only fair to charge for out time and labor. The home owner refused to pay the service call, so we informed the customer we would not be able to send any of our technicians out until the bill which was already overdue by a year was paid. We believe we have gone above and beyond trying to help this customer, we only warranty Labor on our end for 1 year. We performed FREE labor and services calls for 2 years. We believe that was more than fair. We also never voided the warranty although we discovered other companies had been out there touching our units aside from the tenant. As for the permits this was a customer built project, the agreement was that the customer would be in charge of obtaining any permits necessary. We would like to cresolve this issue as soon as possible.

      Thank you,

      ****** ******

      JDS Electric
