I signed up for Crunch fitness to use their sleds. I Already had a gym membership at LA Fitness. I was asked for my accounting and routing number, I was asked to text everyone I know about the gym, and I was asked to post their location on my personal social media right there on the spot. I refused all three mainly for privacy concerns. While signing, an employee tried to sell me personal training to which I declined, I am very much in great shape. His supervisor overheard, interrupted our conversation and told me she didn't wanting me using "her" sleds for just 10 bucks a month, which is the price they advertise. I left and never went back, never even received an ***********. Today (6 months later ) I was charged $150 to my bank card. I would like a refund as I assumed refusing to give my account and routing number would have cancelled the membership. The gym operates like a ponzi scheme and gives off bad vibes in general.

I started a membership at crunch and wnet for a few months before being activated with the national guard. I had to leave the same day so I couldnt go in to cancel the membership. I called the gym a few days later when I finally had time to cancel. They were difficult about it but I told them I was hundreds of miles away and wouldnt be back anytime soon so they went through the process over the phone. A few months later, I saw charges from crunch and checked the app. It said I had been checking in at gyms all over the us. I contacted them to cancel again and went through the same ordeal but finally, they said theyd canceled my membership. It occurred the next month again. Finally, I contacted my bank to place a stop payment order. Unfortunately, they were only able to refund two months but I took what I got. A few days later, I got a call from crunch who said that my payment didnt go through. I explained everything and told them Id never return so just end my account. Now, for the really sketchy part. I just got back into the country after a year long deployment. As Im checking my bank accounts, of which I have two separate ones, I see an $80 bill from crunch fitness. The notable thing is its on a bank account I never supplied to crunch fitness. I have no idea how they got this information. I only gave them the info to bill the account with the stop payment. The payments started the same month I placed the stop payment with the other bank. At this point, my bank is telling me this is essentially fraud. Somehow, crunch gained access to an account I never gave them accesss to after Id canceled my membership 3 times. Something isnt right about this company

I purchased 6 personal training sessions for $199 on 11/18/2021. Every time I tried to schedule the training sessions, I was given reasons on why they had no trainers available to accommodate my health issues. After various attempts to speak to multiple managers to get them to schedule the trainings and due to further disability, I canceled my membership with manager ****** on 07/14/2023. He said I needed to talk to Personal Training Manager **** on Monday 07/17/2023 to get reimbursement for the unused training sessions. I called multiple times per day 07/17/2023-07/21/2023, leaving messages since he was always with another client or gone for the day. Finally, on 07/21/2023 I went back to speak with him personally. I was told by Manager *** that **** was with another client and would not speak to me. I was told the only way to speak to **** would be to make an appointment with him 07/22/2023 at 2pm. During the appointment **** told us he would not reimburse for the unused trainings. I pointed out that per the original contract (1.12.2 Death or Disability) I was to be promptly refunded for prepaid services. At this point **** states that he is done talking to me and that I am not getting anything from them. I requested to get that in writing he said, "nope" and walked away.

      Good Afternoon,

He is correct in that he came in and paid his past dues. His membership was still active after his initial past dues payment. His membership is now canceled and his past dues were taken care of.

      Thank you,

So initially, I had a late fee plus membership. Which amounted to $20 dollars. Money is tight and so I took time to collect the funds. Come to find out that not only has Crunch fitness has been charging me 4 months for my membership beyond my cancellation they have introduced a deliquency on my credit report by sending it to a debt collector. After speaking with a few representatives and the general manager at Crunch La mirada ******************, they claimed that I was required to cancel in person. Which is odd considering I had a representative tell me that I could cancel over the phone. Further, Crunch's contract type says that my membership is "open" and paying month to month. However, It does not adequately specify that they intend to charge my account for four months after any non payment before canceling. I am happy to pay that initial month that I owe but I think 4 months after a cancellation is absurd. If crunch intends to charge for 4 months after a non payment then the contract should not falsely label their payment plan as month to month. Instead, they should label it as term payment plan (which is what it essentially is). A month to month plan is in my opinion then a false advertisement

I was teaching my friend how to wrestle at the gym, we were out of sight from everyone as to not bother anybody and we were not in the way of anybody. Ive seen people go full on live wrestling in the carpet area in front of the people without any issue, so when The manager came up to us angrily and pulled our memberships I was confused. We werent given a warning, we had our memberships pulled without a refund, meaning we paid that month for no reason. The manager seems to have a short fuse because we were respectful and listened to what he said, we went to grab our stuff from the lockers and he tried to claim that we tried to hide from him or something even though we went right back to the counter after retrieving our things. I honestly dont find it right that I can get my membership revoked and lose money just because the manager doesnt like me. Ive seen people full on boxing in front of him and nothing was done so I know its not about fear of people getting injured or anything. I just want my money or my membership back.

A Crunch fitness was getting built to open in **********. A lot of advertisement was done locally, I ended up walking up to a post and start a membership with the gym before it opened. The deal was to be charged as soon as the gym opened in 1-2 months, however the gym did not open. So I decided to go with another gym nearby. When I saw my charge from CRUNCH FITNESS, the anual fee and monthly at once. I went to the gym to see how it was, it wasn't to my feeling. I paid another month then changed banks. I received a call from CRUNCH Fitness saying that my payment did not go through. I told them to cancel my membership, they said to go in person. Walked in that same day and spoke to the same guy with whom I opened the account, ***** He says he's the owners brother. Told him I was done with CRUNCH FITNESS he said okay. I thought that was the end of it. A few months later a receive a call from ************* saying I owe CRUNCH FITNESS a bit over 900 dollars because my account went to collection and I'm being added attorney fees. Called **** right away and explain to him that he himself said he'd cancel my membership. He said no problem I'll zero out your account. To this day I am still getting calls from the collection company and **** no longer returns my calls. My account was on a month to month contract. If I don't pay that should mean I can no longer attend the gym until my account is current, CRUNCH FITNESS says NO, we keep billing you until you cancel your account. Which I did.
