Dear BBB, Thank you for the opportunity to review and respond to this customer's remarks. Our client, ************* received a request to perform a laboratory test for this customer. Exagen's records indicate they billed the customer's healthcare insurance company and the insurance company indicated they sent the check for services to the customer/the customer's insurance policyholder directly. Exagen received a call from the customer on 04/19/23 to inquire about the balance due notice they received. Exagen explained their insurance company indicated they sent the insurance check to the customer/customer's insurance policyholder. The customer stated they did not recall receiving a check from their insurance company and would call their insurance company to learn the status of the check and would call Exagen back once they knew more. Exagen received a call from the customer and their insurance company on May 8th, 2023, indicating they were going to re-issue the insurance check and mail it to the customer/the customer's insurance policyholder. The customer stated they would forward the check to Exagen once received. Exagen's records indicate they never received the check from the customer as indicated and the account balance was assigned for collection. The customer is welcome to contact us at *********************** and we would be happy to assist them resolve their balance. Thank you again.
