I was involved in a hit and run; the guy hit me while trying to make a lane change. I pulled over to stop but they guy drove away as soon as I told him I am calling the cops because he was not going to give me his insurance information. I have contacted Sun Coast General Insurance since the day of the incident (10/30/23), ten times to be exact, and I have not received a single call, email or anything about helping me with the situation. And unfortunately, literally today, I just received a letter stating that now they have dropped me from their insurance policy for being a "bad driver". I have called them several days in a row, leaving message after message, asking if anyone can call me back so I can put in a claim and all I got was a letter from them cancelling my policy. If you are lucky enough to make contact with the general office, they will only send you right back to where you started which is being put on hold with the claims department, **************, that never answers your call or calls you back after leaving multiple messages asking for help. I have put in a police report and have made contact with an officer and started an investigation. I need my insurance company to do their job. There have been several others who have had similar experiences with this company judging by their reviews. It really feels like a fraudulent company that is taking my money every month and is not even trying to provide any level of service. They take my monthly payments, but they can't call me back to help me. I am a victim in a hit and run and then they are stating that they dropped me from their policy on the 15th of November 2023. They soley dropped me because I left multiple messages asking if they can help me put in a claim because I got hit.Business response

As you are aware, Sun Coast General Insurance does not handle claims. Your Insurance Companies claims administrator ***************************** was assigned to handle your claim. We understand that you have been in touch with them regarding your claim. Sun Coast has reached out to you to help secure replacement coverage as your current insurer is non-renewing your policy. Your statement that the non-renewal had something to do with your current claim is incorrect. Your current insurer did not know anything about your claim when the non-renewal notice went out. My ficance has been sold road side assistance which is false do to the fact everytime we've tried to get road side assistance no one comes....and the phone calls are phony. These representatives are rude and unassuring of our problem and play dumb. We've still have not managed to get anywhere with the roadside assistance in his insurance policy.Business response
