I scheduled a repair of my car for 4/14/22. The problem was the proper opening and closing of the convertible top. I was told of the problem and agreed to the repairs and cost estimate. The repair was delayed as the parts needed to be ordered. I picked up my car a week later and paid the approximately $3,600 without dispute. The shop was aware I was making the repair in order to sell the car and that the listing window was time sensitive. The car was ten taken to a second location for detaining work and returned about 10 days later. I opened and closed the convertible top two (2) times after it was repaired. Once to drive the second for photographs. When I attempted to closed the top the second time it failed to close completely and lock shut. The top now neither opens or closes and is stuck in a partially closed position. I contacted Johns and spoke with the mechanic ****. He offered a suggestion to push down and try to manually close the top. That did not work. When I tried to schedule a timely appointment to have **** look at the problem I was told the soonest he could take the car was 10 days away. I told him I needed to list the car and was leaving for a trip and would be out of town on the date he had open. I returned from my trip called on June 27th and spoke to the an very rude office staff member (definitely not a mechanic) and reminded him of my prior calls and problem. He stated the earliest appointment was July 7th, 10 days away. Again expressing my issue with the timely listing of my car and requesting **** at least look at my car to determine what the problem could be (maybe as simple as a relay switch) he refused any accommodation. I indicated I would stop by the following day and talk with **** to which he responded, no you wont, and hung up.I will be taking my car to another shop who set a timely appointment. If its determined the problem is due to overlooked or poor repairs by Johns I expect to be reimbursed for repair cost
