Falsely listed that "all rooms are on the ground floor". My travel companion is handicapped so she wrote numerous emails to the owner to verify that the room had two queen beds on the ground floor and a kitchenette, BEFORE we headed there from Ventura County. The parking is on the third floor and we had to drag our belongings down to the "ground floor". When the housekeeper opened our room, there was only one bed downstairs and a very narrow wrought iron staircase leading upstairs to the second bedroom. My travel companion and I were sitting in the room eating our lunch, which we made on top of our cooler, as the refrigerator in off the "common room", outside and down four stairs in a separate area, when one of the window screens blew off and scratched her arm. She went in the bathroom and while she was on the toilet, the screen blew off that window and hit her in the head. When the manager FINALLY took our call, he said "That's funny"...she informed him it was not funny and that we had filed a complaint with *******.com. He came down to our room and put the screens back in. He filed a complaint against us stating we had "soiled the bedding" and damaged his room. When we insisted to ******* .com that pictures were taken, the owner/manager came back down, put a foot in the doorway so I was unable to close the door, while he ranted and raved that we were in "his home" and not allowed to damage it. I informed him to "look! there is NO damage, but that he was a liar and a cheat and we wanted our $ back. He told me to "KISS my ass"...he then threatened to call the police to remove us from his "premises within the hour". It cost us double the amount of $ for one night at another Inn and he stated he would reimburse her one night's stay (which he did Tue., 9/7/21, four days later). He should be shut down, have the Health Inspector and Building Inspector inspect the premises and not be allowed to treat another guest like that.
