Nov 2021 we signed a contract for a patio cover. He took a check from me in the amount of $1000 as a deposit. He stopped answering my calls/ text. Today 1/13/2023 still no update from him. We have tried to reach him on multiple occasions. We did make a police report and will file a law suit next.Initial Complaint

This Licensed Contractor #******, took our $1500.00 deposit on 4/18/2022 for a patio installation. After he confirmed receipt of the deposit, he has NEVER returned multiple calls and text messages. I verified his Contractors license prior to paying deposit, it was in good standing. However, the License is currently suspended. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS CONTRACTOR. There are multiple claims online for the same SCAM.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract for a new patio cover on 2/20/22 with So Cal Patio Covers. He took my deposit of $1,000 at that time. As of today 7/19/22 I have not been able to make contact or have any work done. I have called and emailed several times. He has responded with messages saying he will call me back, but has not done so. I have asked for a refund of the deposit since no work has been done and he is not getting in touch with me. Again this just results in him messaging that he will call.Initial Complaint

On July 24th, 2021 we made a deposit of 1000 dollars for our patio cover. ******* ***** the owner has stopped contacting us and responding to our many phone calls, emails and text messages. January 25th, 2022 I notified Mr. ***** that I will be filing a complaint with the state contracting board. He then decided to respond to that email. Telling us we can have our deposit back or wait for the supplier to ship our patio materials. We decided to wait and see and told him to find out how much longer our patios would take. He did not respond. April 15th 2022, I emailed requesting our deposit back. No response Monday May 16th, 2022 I emailed AGAIN to no response. I will be filing a police report for this theft as well.Initial Complaint

**** from SoCal Patio Covers took a deposit from me for a job that was supposed to be started in late February early March. To date he has not started the job nor has he advised of a start date. I have tried to contact him several times and he does not return phone calls.Initial Complaint

I live in a high wind area and recently a cover panel blew off the patio cover roof. Happened on 11/24/21. Since that time have contacted the business and was promised that someone will fix the problem. After several attempts, no communication, since 12/07/21, by so cal patio I was guarantee that the wind will not cause damage and if there is an issue the business will solve it.
