Dan’s Roofing was a contractor that was hired by Sunrun to complete a roof replacement prior to installing solar panels. Dan’s Roofing completed the work, however they failed to complete the job entirely. The coping around my flat roof was not replaced. They simply installed the original coping. I notified ***** at Dan’s Roofing who stated that he will send someone out to take measurements to replace the coping. I thought that since measurements were taken, a technician would be dispatched to complete the job. That was not the case. Several months later, I notified ***** once a again who ensured that the coping had in fact been ordered and scheduled an installation date. Fast forward to today’s date, February 14, 2022. The technician arrived and began the demolition of the original coping. Shortly thereafter, I walked outside to inspect the work in progress and noticed that the technician was installing a galvanized silver color coping. Keep in mind, my roof is black. I asked the technician why it isn’t black, his response was “this is what I was told to use,” and continued with the installed. Upon completion, I informed him that it doesn’t match my black roof, he stays, “use a can of spray paint.” The finished product of my roof installed by Dan’s Roofing is described as black shingles on my pitched roof and galvanized steel color coping on my flat roof. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. It’s apparent that Dan’s Roofing illustrates zero pride in their work and could careless whether the paying customer is satisfied with their craftsmanship. I’d like my roof colors to match, instead of me having to spray paint it black.
