Before July 4th 2023 I went into the Absolute Best Flooring and made a half down deposit for flooring in my home. I was never contacted in July, Aug nor Sep to set up anytime to come and install the flooring. I went to the store in the beginning of Oct to find out what was going on because it had been 3 months and heard nothing from anyone in the store. Once there we spoke with *****, she told us that they were having issues with the manufacturers and getting the ordered products. She said she would reach out to them and scheduled us for install a few weeks later. Well that time came and again they gave us the same story so I went in and picked different flooring, maybe this time would be different with a different manufacturer. I was busy in November and actually ended up getting really sick so it would work better to schedule sometime in Dec. Went into the store in December to find a different gentleman that said he was a partner and they were having to get lawyers involved because no one was getting any products and that if we wanted answers go speak to the co-owner ********************* at his comic book store Absolute Best Comics. Went there and essentially got the run around. He told us to come back into the flooring store in a few days time because he had pneumonia and he would help us. We did exactly that and there was yet again another gentleman that was there, no **** but he put us on the phone with him. **** said they should be able to do my floor but on several text follow *** he has never once responded. We have gone to the store a few times since then and no one has been there at all, it's essentially closed. It seems there are a lot of people that he has ripped off to fund his comic book store. I want my $850 deposit back. My mother will be filing the same complaint because they have approx. $2700 of their money too and nothing has been done.Initial Complaint

Subject: Down Payment for Flooring from Absolute Best Flooring In *********, ** Our names are ******* and ***************************. We put a down payment of $2,622.50 for flooring with Absolute Best Flooring Company, *************************************************************************************. The phone number there is ************ and the owner, *************************, phone number is ************. We have had numerous contacts with ****, the owner, and ****** that was ******* the store when we went by the store a few times to talk with the owner. **** also owns a comic book store, Absolute Best Comics in Lancaster and we also visited **** there, where he stated we would get us our down payment back. Owner, *********************, has NOT returned our calls and the flooring store seems to be closed now. We started the process to have our money returned since Nov 28 - through Dec 11, 2023 when we once again went by the Flooring Store during regular hours; however, the store was closed. ********************* the owner said he would meet us at this store but would never be there and would NOT respond to our calls. We have the receipt for the downpayment for the flooring which is $2,622.50..Sincerely, ******* & ***************************, ************Initial Complaint

On 5/31/2023 my wife went into Absolute Best Flooring to purchase laminate flooring as well as carpet. She paid $6500 in full on my **** card with the understanding that we would be contacted in 2 weeks to set up an appointment for installation. Two weeks went by and we did not here anything from this company, so my wife called and nobody answered. We tried again and no answer. Finally we got a call back and an installation date. The day before the install my wife said it was odd that we had not gotten a confirmation call. So we called again. ***** stated there was an emergency at another account so they had to push the install off another week. OK fine. Then, the day before that we tried calling again to confirm and got no answer. Finally after me and my wife called multiple times we get a call back from ***** informing us that they did not have our flooring. At this point we felt deceived and asked for a refund. We went in and were told that they could only refund for the carpet since they were waiting on the refund from the laminate flooring. OK. This was on 7/16/23 and I got a refund of $1000. We were then told 14 business days for the remaining refund. During this time both myself and my wife made numerous calls to get our refund. Our calls went unanswered and ignored. We were then told to come in on 9/1/23 for the remaining $5500 refund by *****. When we went in neither ***** nor ****(the owner) were there. A young lady then stated she was only authorized to refund $2000. We asked to speak to **** and he said he did not have the money. We are well past 14 days for our refund. We got upset took the $2000 and left. A week later we received a threatening text from the business owner **** that he filed a harassment complaint against us with the ************ and that we were not allowed back into their store and that he would let us know when we will get our refund. We replied wanting the report number and heard nothing back. It is now 10/8/23 and no response.
