I have tried several times to cancel my membership to this establishment. They are closed most of the day and are open only during class time. This makes it difficult to come in to speak with someone in person or on the phone. I stopped the charges of $99.99 to my card and that's when I received phone calls demanding payment. I was told that a six month commitment was needed if I wanted to cancel. Now it is seven months and they want $250 to break the contract. I haven't attended a class in four months and no one contacted me then. Their business practices have me concerned. I believe that the difficulty in canceling their membership and getting in contact with them is shady and should be looked into. They have gotten enough unearned money from me and should not be entitled to any more. I cannot found a corporate phone number or address anywhere on the website. I would like to like to know what this business corporate, procedures are for this situation.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/03/21) */ ********* signed a one-year agreement in July 2011. In February 2022 she stopped her monthly payments without cancelling her agreement. We attempted to speak to her 2/22/22. Our call log has the following note: member stated she tried coming in to cancel but no one was there to assist her, she says she cannot continue to come by after work and said cancellations should be convenient for the members to cancel online. I informed member payment is needed per 12-month agreement and billing is not based off of attendance - ********* then said she do not authorize any payments to be taken out of her account then she disconnected the line. I called her again to rectify the situation 3/1/22. This time the conversation was more positive and I offered to email her the cancellation form since she can not make it to the studio when we are open and she agreed to pay the $250 early termination fee, since she doesn't have a legitimate reason for cancellation (such as medical etc). Copies of her signed agreement and cancellation form are attached. Section 2 & 3 of the agreement clearly outline the cancellation terms.
