I purchased a car from Roman Motor Company on June 25, 2024 for $10,100. I bought the car as is, the dealership said that all proper maintenance had been done to the vehicle prior to selling. There was a strange sound coming from the engine compartment during the test drive, which I could hear above the radio that the salesman turned on beforehand. Live about 45 minutes away from the dealership so I was dropped off a couple days later on the 27th by my parents to pick it up. Left the lot with it, and about 5 miles from the lot the car started throwing a check engine light/coolant temperature light as well as a terrible noise from the engine compartment, particularly at higher speeds. Took it back to them to get it fixed. They took 6 hours to replace a coolant temperature sensor and thermometer. I drove it home, and took it to my mechanic the next day. They diagnosed it with catastrophic transmission failure. I contacted the dealership regarding this and they fought back arguing that it wasnt a transmission issue and that it ran fine. Have tried to call them back, but they have not responded in any way. Recently took it to a transmission shop in the area to see if it could be repaired, they got back to me and said the transmission had failed, and replacement would be the only option to keep the vehicle going. The quote was $8200. To make things worse, I still havent received the vehicles title and Ive owned the car for more than 15 days, which is a violation of California law that should result in the dealership paying a fine of $2500. This dealership should not be in business for its very poor and dishonest behavior, Im trying to get a lawyer involved to see if justice can be served.

We leased a car from roman motor company on 3/3/2024 and they told us everything was okay on the vehicle and that they had done an inspection. We leased the car and put $2,500.00 on down payment and just paid our first bill of $270.00. Within the first week of having the car there was an oil leak that was made known to us by a valvoline shop, we told roman motors about it and they looked at it, cleaned it and said it was fine however, now we have a mssive oil leak from the back of the car to the front. The engine light came on a day after we bought it, and the mechanic at the audi autobody shop said that they could have turned it off before selling and they can check to see if they did. They did wiring for the back up camera and now the parking brake malfunctions and the airbag light is one. We just took it to audi for a inspection and they said there are numerous safety hazards with the vehicle including the tire. They said they did notknow how they were legally able to sell the car with a tire like that, they said the bushings, axle, the wishbone arms are extremely dangerous and the vehicle will not perform how its suppose too. They said it is very possible that it can break while driving, now i have a $12,000 dollar bill 3 and a half weeks after buying it and they are no help, they keep saying that those mechanics at audi are lying. I am not a mechanic and as such, i believe when they (roman motor company) told me that they had done an inspection before we bought it. They should be help to the same standard of ethics and law as other dealerships. The owner is now sending us long, drawn text messages. I believe there is a good amount of fraud and deception within this auto body shop that they can sell cars bad enough to where we couldve crashed simply driving it unknowingly with so many problems.

Good Afternoon, BBB limits ** on letters so I will keep it as concise as possible. I'd be happy to add screenshots, and copies.
******************* purchased a car from ** with extremely bad credit and low income and down payment. Very hard to finance and we typically lose money on deals like this. Yes he test drove the vehicle ,and yes he had copies of all documents in paper and in his email. The bank automatically sends it to him. Although he denied buying extended warranty and the car was SOLD AS IS., we spent money on his car after the purchase to make sure he was taken care of. I sent out a technician to his Motel to replace a battery for him free of charge because he left the lights on and also put brighter lights for him.
Anyways, the way his loan was structured was, he had to make the first months payment or we had to repossess the vehicle because the bank does not pay us. Not only did he make no payments at all on this loan, he also was involved in an extremely bad Hit and Run accident which we had to deal with San ************************ Once again, we will leave the details out due to letter limit but we DID NOT GET PAID For this car, WE DID NOT REPOSSES OUR VEHICLE because it was DESTROYED and TOTALED. So we "sold" this vehicle to ******************* without actually getting paid by the bank because he never made a payment , we also lost our beautiful car because he totaled it yet He is filing a complaint against us. Please feel free to send me an email and i can put all details in the email.
