I purchased a rare gold coin from this coin dealer on 2/29/24 (*********************************, owner of Livermore Coin and Bullion) with the understanding that the coin was a genuine, authentic "uncleaned" and not tampered with! The coin dealer advertised it as a quality rare coin with no problems or issues. After viewing the coin in person once it was shipped to me I could tell immediately that this coin had been cleaned and tampered with. (In the Numismatics/coin Industry the goal is to own excellent quality coins that have not been cleaned or tampered with so they can be considered a quality investment and appreciate in value over time. but a "cleaned" coin or a coin that has been tampered with is undesirable by other coin collectors therefore this type of coin is basically worthless. ******************** outright misrepresented the specifics of this coin (theft by false pretenses) and i expressed my dissatisfaction immediately by email and I said I was shipping the coin back for a full refund of $1700.00. ******************** tried to say that there is a "no refunds policy" for raw ungraded coins. ( This was a complete lie since ******************** never ever communicated this so called "No refund policy "in any correspondence between us by email nor was there any mention of it or any disclosure of this on his website) I purchase coins from many coin dealers around the country and everyone of them has a full refund policy "No questions asked" If the consumer is not happy with the product. I am asking for a total reimbursement of $1730.00 since i had to pay insured shipping (Registered Mail) a second time for this inconvenience. (I shipped the coin back to ******************** on Saturday 3-16-24 and it arrived at his business on Thursday 3/21/24 but he refused to sign for it so **** is most likely shipping back to me.
