I contracted with Swanson landscaping to put a ground cover in my backyard. He suggested Kuropia. I agreed and he prepared the ground and put in adequate sprinklers. The kuropia arrived in rolls, much like sod. After if was laid, tons of weeds sprung up. I complained to Mr ********************** and he contacted the business providing the kuropia, *************** from ********. Both men came out and looked at the situation and the agreement was *************** came out and pulled the weeds and Mr ********************** was to put on a preemergent weed control. They did pull the weeds and did a good job, I checked on it, but it was nearly three weeks before Mr ********************** put on the preemergent weed control and of course in that three weeks lots more weeds sprung up. So I am left with a weedy ground cover for which I paid $7000 and neither person knows what to do. I am 82 and I dont want to have to keep pulling weeds. I personally think the kuropia rolls were full of weed seeds because Mr ********************** prepared the ground well and the weeds that I myself pulled were from close to the top, not from the ground underneath the rolls. I dont think either person knows what to do and Im stuck in the middle so is there a sensible way this can be resolved? Thank you, *******************Business response

We put some Kuropia grass in Anns backyard in October of 2022. No one in the landscape industry will guarantee you wont get weeds in grass after the grass is put in. She called me 3 months after the grass was put in and complained about weeds. I told her just pull them out or spray them. I called sod company were we got grass from and they recommended a spray for the weeds. I passed on the message from sod company. She always said the kuropia had the weeds in it.
I did not hear back from her for about 6 weeks. She called again and said she still had weeds. So I called **************** and explained the situation. So me and their rep met **** at her house to go over the weeds. **** from **************** said he would have his crew come out and pull all the weeds. The came out a week later and pulled the weeds. Then he recommend putting down a pre-emergent to stop the weeds. I came out 10 days after they pulled the weeds and put the pre emergent down as a courtesy. If you read the letter she sent you , she is not blaming me but **************** because she said the weeds came with the sod. Maybe contact **** at **************** and see if they can replace the grass. Or even if they can delivery the grass no charge and we can put it in. But she needs to know this special grass will get some weeds until it fills in**************** Rep
