I paid Bay Area Turf to install new artificial turf in my backyard. After approx a year it came to light that it was installed incorrectly causing damage to the turf. The came out to mitigate the issue but left the job unfinished. The contract has a 16 year warranty on both material and installation. I have attempted to contact them multiple times to arrange for them to come out and rectify the situation but they refuse to return my phone calls.Initial Complaint

Upon finishing the job in June it looked great. On recommendation, we paid for the weed barrier.By November, weeds were through the turf. We hired (for an extra ~$350) ********************* who claimed to still work with Bay Area Turf (and signed our contract with them), to remove the weeds December 9th, but weeds were back a week later. On December 29, he emailed to say he'd contact us the next week, but never did. He has ghosted all follow up calls and emails since.On January 25, I posted a negative review on yelp because of this. ****, the owner, texted me asking me to remove the review to "give him a chance to make it right" so I did. On February 1, someone came out for an hour, hand pulled weeds from about 25% of the turf, and left. **** said he may have planned to come back since he lives down the street from us (he did not come back).On February 7 **** said he'd send someone out on Friday. Nobody showed, and he has not returned texts/voicemails since.It's February 27th, and I can only assume this is his version of "making it right". Our neighbor installed turf (three feet from ours, also with a weed barrier) over a year ago, still weed-free, and has done nothing with it since. I suspect the weed barrier was never installed, or simply poor quality. A temporary fix of 25% of the turf is not "making it right"...Note: the photo was taken two weeks ago. Artificial turf was installed but the two halves of the whole area are different colors. See photo. (I tried 3 times to size the photo, but your form wouldn't acccept it). I can send it to you upon request.The project began on Aug. 7, 2023.The company sent people on two different occasions to view the problem with promises to remedy the situation.They sent a team to 'broom' the turf, but no change.Empty promises.Then they told me the product was on backorder. The product is called The Natural 105.Now, when I call, their voicemail boxes are full.I've been communicating with *******. Not sure if it is the same ******* as the owner, *****************************, *************.I've paid $3136, half of the total.They were recommended to me by my son, who used them and was pleased.
