The background is that two years ago, we had just bought our home in Alamo and contracted Your Energy Solutions to take down solar pool panels and PV system to do a reroof. Fast forward to December 2023. My pool guy had instructed me to empty the solar pool panels ahead of freezing temps. When I got on the roof, I discovered damaged shingles under the lower header of the pool panels. After some detective work, including going back to the video taken by the real estate agent for the prior owners, we determined Your Energy Solutions completely forgot to install the lower clamps per the manufacturer's instructions when reinstalling the pool panels. Without the clamps, the lower header has been sitting right on the shingles, and two years of thermal expansion and contraction have caused nearly 40 spots of damage to what is practically a new roof. We had never owned a pool or PV system before, so we trusted Your Energy Solutions to do the job right. I had no reason to figure out what the right installation looked like. Now I know, and ours isnt right. After the discovery of the damage, I had the roofing company (P.R.I. Premier) who did the reroof, and the repair quote came back at over $1,200. Ive been trying to get Your Energy Solutions to make a wrong a right since January 8th, and here we are at the end of the month with no resolution. After repeated attempts over the past two weeks, I can't get them to talk to me. On top of the roofing repair bill, I still need someone to fix the botched reinstall of the pool panels. I have no option but to take them to court for reimbursement. Run, dont walk away from Your Energy Solutions. Y.E.S. is a big NO!

YES is a great solar company to work with. Every employee we came in contact with were friendly, knowledgeable & professional. ***** in Sales was very thorough & followed up throughout the entire project. ********, who removed some older thermal pool panels, saved us from future expenses with his examination of our aging roof. We ended up getting a new roof based on his recommendation. The ** Team of **************** were great to work with & kept us apprised at all points of the project. The Install Team were quick, thorough & cleaned up any debris at the end of each day. I highly recommend YES. BTW, the pricing was very competitive & worth the cost.*************************************

Please read this review before you decide to install solar system by Your Energy Systems (YES) to your home. In my 50+ years of dealing with contractors, this contractor is the very worst. I will give you a brief summary of the things that went wrong and then let you make your own decision.I was interested in buying a system with a battery to avoid energy cost in the future. I had a couple of estimates before the representative from YES came out. The sales rep came out and gave me an estimate. He said he could have installed within 2 months as YES had bought containers of panels and everything was in stock. The contract was written to match this estimate, but of course they had their delay excuses ready in case they could not meet schedule, i.e. delayed by the permit process.The contract went to the operations team to plan and execute. This was like an entirely different company. They acted like they had no intentions of meeting the dates. They had excuses for everything, terrible communications and delays were at every step. I had communications with the Project Manager and General Manager, who made promises they never kept. I even attempted e-mails to one of the owners that went unanswered. The only part of the contract that was important to them was the pay points, If I didnt pay, they would just stop until I did.The following are a list of problems:1.YES Didnt submit the plan to the city to Sep 27th, the ***************** date was Sep 28th 2.The city rejected the plan at least once and was issued Nov 23rd.3.GM promised that we would be 1st upon the permit, installation started Dec 12th.4.Inspection failed.5.Once accepted, the system would not work. After a number of attempts, a factory rep came out and fixed it, this was in mid Feb 2023.So, my 2 months project has taken 6.5 months to complete. I think we are complete, I havent received a final invoice or communication to be sure. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
