I was contacted on 03/15/24 & 03/29/24 (twice) by a letter via the **** from a company claiming they were with a government mortgage restructure program called Cares Act Relief Program. I responded to the number ************ and provided all information needed. They said I was approved for the government restructure program and emailed an acceptance letter along with details on where to send the funds to proceed. Was told it would be about $2000.00 for underwriting and processing. Was told I could pay in 2 installments. Sent a check made out to N.A.A. (Nationwide Advocacy Adjustment) on 03/28/24 for the amount of $985.00 via text to ************. $985.00 was withdrawn from my account promptly. They said they were contacting my mortgage servicer (***** Fargo) and moving forward and that my 1st payment with with restructure would be due June 1st 2024. April 8 *****, I received a notice from a marshal left at my door stating that my house was now in foreclosure. I contacted **************** immediately and explained about the government restructure program. I was informed by **************** representative named ****** that no company had been in contact with them regarding any loan restructure and that if a company asked for money up front, it may be a scam as government programs do not have such fees. I then went to Better Business Bureau and looked up various phone numbers that this company has used. I found several exact same scenarios as mine. This fraudulent company poses as a government loan program and they clearly are not. I have texted both *************************** at ************ as well as ***************************** ************ to let them know I do not wish to proceed as I'm now in foreclosure due to waiting for this restructure that is clearly a scam. Only response I've gotten is "forwarded to mgmt". I plan to proceed with authorities. Using the **** to commit a scam is a federal crime. Want my money back now!!

I was contacted by Nationwide Advocacy Organization regarding mortgage adjustment in conjunction with the 2024 CARES-Act ************************** I was able to "qualify" according to them. Upon paying them with the "fees", they prepared a loan modification application to my mortgage company, which I submitted. But alas, my mortgage company does not recognize the application and said that I got scammed. I've left messages with my contacts at ***, but they haven't returned my calls.

I received a letter from Nationwide Advocacy Adjusters claiming they could lower my interest rate and reduce my debt on my mortgage. I thought the were legitimate, but I fear that they are a scam. They instructed me to to provide them with documentation and they would process a restructuring of my loan. They asked for all the right documentation have a web site and spoke perfect English.I wrote them a check on March 1st for$ ****** and another just yesterday April 1st for $1050.00 have contacted my bank concerning the last check to see if it could be stopped or returned, ,they are aware of the situation and are working on returning the funds of $1050.00 if it is possible. I was told, I could skip my next 2 months of payments and they would notify the lender ********, but they never did and I incurred a late fee and I am sure a hit on my credit report. I have made the March payment today. I checked the address that they provided and it is a *** store with mailboxes, But Box 733 is not owned by Nationwide.
