RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR PART OR YOUR MONEY AGAIN. ALL I WANT IS MY RADIO FOR MY ******** BACK. THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO MULTIPLE EMAILS AND DO NOT EVER ANSWER THE ****** READ A REVIEW WHERE THE GENTLEMAN STATED HE ACTUALLY WENT TO THE ADDRESS TO TRY AND GET HIS CLUSTER BACK AND IT WAS A *** STORE. The repair is still in progress, additional parts required being ordered. The disclosure on our listing and website FAQ page explains that there is set repair timeframe. No communication from customer in several weeks, only this review. We are happy to help, but this is not the way to go about it.Review from James D

BUYER BEWARE!I purchased a multi-function display unit for a 2007 ****** Prius on September 26th 2023 (ORDER #***** ). It is now 1 week later and the item has not yet made it to ***** I have tried to contact German Audio Tech on 4 occasions and have yet to hear a response back. The first contact was via a phone call but this company refuses to take calls from customers! After the phone call I utilized there contact form twice and then emailed them as they instructed. Unfortunately at this time I still have not had any correspondence about when my item will be delivered to ***** I really wish I would have read the reviews about this company before making my purchase. It seems very obvious that this company wont respond to there customers until they leave a negative review. If German Audio Tech reads this please reach out to me. It only takes a few mins to reply back to me with a quick update about my purchase. If you choose to respond to this review, please don't gaslight me. I am a real customer and I have used your contact form and email. If the email and contact form information is in your spam folder that is not my fault. It is up to you to check that since you have personally admitted in previous replys that this has been an issue. If you respond back to me, get me the item I paid for and finally accept accountability for this company's complete lack of communication and customer service I will adjust and update my review.German Audio Tech Response

In July 2023 I purchased a refurbished CDR220 Radio Head Unit for my **** Porsche Boxster. After having the unit installed by a Porsche Dealership, the unit did not work. I tried to contact German Audio Tech and discovered no one will answer the phone, and you cant even leave a message. Thus, I have emailed them four times about this defective head unit and have NEVER even received a response. Hard to believe they can stay in business with such awful customer service. I can assure everyone that giving them a one star rating is extremely generous. STAY AWAY!German Audio Tech Response

Radio was thoroughly tested and quality controlled. We do not knowingly send anything that is defective. Our staff has over 15 years technical and repair experience with these Porsche radios. The issue is not the radio. Regardless, we have a return policy and are always happy to help. Buyer did not return or exchange item. German Audio Tech ******************************************************** This is not a reliable company to do business with I have tried calling and dealing with them about a refund on a product they sold that was not the one pictured and I have been given the run around and now they want answer any of my emails. Listing states "Multi-Item Listing" "Stock Photos" There is nothing wrong with product, it is thoroughly quality controlled tested and perfectly functional. Only people who are wanting to express a grievance take the time to leave "reviews". Even the Better Business Bureau (BBB) has a 1-Star rating across several platforms. Purchased a General Module repair and sent them a General Module 2 weeks ago for repair. I started to wonder why it was taking so long for them to repair it, so I decided to try and contact them so they can give me an update. I tried calling (about 15 times) but went straight to voice mail each time. I also sent a couple emails to their customer service, and they never responded. And on top of that I went to their website and contacted them through their website and still no response. Im not pleased with this service. This General ****** is for a customer that is in need of their car, and all that we ask is for this module to be returned to us as soon as possible. At this point its fine if the general module isnt repaired we just want our general module back. The order number is #***** The customer is in dire need of their car back. We are located in ********. We sent you our cluster 3/10/22. You informed us you couldn't repair it on 3/18/22. You told us you would send it back to us and have since either not answered our emails or have answer with questions you have the information to. We've sent you a shipping label on 4/12/22 to send us our cluster back and you have not answered any emails since. We just want to get our cluster back.

Customer did not read repair service listing. It clearly states it is a "pixel display repair", they had mailed to us a part that has power failure. Disclosures on listing explain that we do not repair anything outside of the issues explained, no prior communication from customer before mailing part to us.
This part was already returned and delivered back to them

I asked about the display and if it would fit response from them

So we purchased it and of course it came no where near fitting. My mechanic sent me photos of the display comparisons which I sent to germanaudiotech. No refunds so I had my credit card company cancel the transaction. Filed a complaint with paypal and eBay. This company whined and then tried to blame it on me. I asked questions and I have all the emails in regards to this.

Same lies. They actually edited their ebay description in the fine print. These people are liars and scammers, selling items that do not fit your car. Refusing to refund your money and then trying to make the victims of their scams as the wrong doer. Avoid this place at all costs. 36 complaints in 3 years and I bet there are a lot of others out there who were ripped off that did not file a complaint here.German Audio Tech Response

Buyer bought item in error. They are going around the internet trolling bad reviews. We are happy to accept items back for a refund, but instead of following proper process to return item, he's gone nuts opening disputes and leaving reviews. I purchased a repair service through eBay For a 2005 Bentley continental cluster sent the item in four weeks go by Three emails a day one response from the company requesting the mileage on my cluster ..Opened up a claim on eBay explaining this was a repair service and I needed my item returned..They refunded my money for the service..The case I had to shell out $4000 for a new cluster..This company should not be allowed to continue ripping people off!!!Review from Frank W

I sent my 2002 Audi TT instrument cluster to repair the LED display. The cost was $149, which they required upfront. I mailed the cluster on 11/9/21, and through the UPS tracking, it was received on 11/15/21.
On 11/23/21 I received a phone call from a lady in Georgia saying she had my instrument cluster delivered to her. She had a cluster for her husband's TT, and she was waiting for a shipping box from German Audio Tech (they had already paid their $149). She was gracious enough to ship my cluster to me.
I received the cluster and installed it into my car. When I turned it on, the calibration was off on all four gauges. I emailed German Audio Tech, and they replied, "Ok, sometimes the gauges can go out of calibration. Only way to fix it is by removing the 6 torx screws around the perimeter of the back of the cluster. Remove the front cover, Gently pull off the needles and place on in the correct positions. We would need the car in order to do this. It is only a Audi TT Jaeger design. VDOs are not like this."
I pulled my cluster out of my car (again) and when I went to take out the screws, I notice that there was a date code on the back of my cluster that said, "16/06/2005." It appears they sent me someone else's cluster. I emailed them again, and as usual, no response.
So now I have to calibrate the cluster myself, and if that doesn't work, I'll send it to another shop to have it calibrated.
There is no way I would do business with company again. They have a website and phone number, but no one answers and they don't call back. They sometimes answer emails, but usually they don't.
There are other companies out there, may want to look at one of those.Review from Daniel W

Order #9046 I tried to order a pixel repair for my E39 M5 cluster. After emailing them to confirm their shipping address and ask about lead time I received one response that asked for my tracking number which I obviously didn't have yet because I hadn't shipped it. No response about the lead time. After this email I sent another to which I received no response after a week. At this point I decided to cancel my order. I have now sent multiple emails and called the store asking for a refund and I've literally heard nothing back. I already sent it in to another company who had it back to me with in the week, now I just want my money refunded.
