I was informed by this company If I would pay them a total of $1,975.00 they would do a Loan Restruction and my mortgage would be only $1,000.00 a month and not $1,500.00 a month in which I'm paying. My mortgage company refuse to do it. I have been calling them back for them to honor what I paid them to do. I'm on a fixed income and can't afford to take a loss of funds like that. I've been giving the run around. I was e-mailed a letter from them telling me to sign a release of contract saying they did they job and then they will mail me the paperwork to send back to the mortgage Company. I refused to signs I asked for a supervisor ,After about two days he called me and tried to get me to sign that paper I said no again he became made and nasty and hung up on he. Something need to be done they can't keep cheating people not along a Disable Senior. Can you please help me or direct me to someone that can.Thank YouInitial Complaint

Received a call around 7/28/23 from a ************************* explaining that with their program they would be able to have our mortgage company reduce our interest rate to 2 & 3%. They said we would need to pay $1600.00up front to start the process. Attached are the checks showing this was paid. After the paperwork was processed and submitted to our mortgage company, they denied the mortgage modification. Spoke with National Amendment representative & was advised to request additional paperwork from my mortgage company for their legal department to look over and they would get back to us. After several attempts to contact them by ************* I finally spoke with a gentleman on the ********** advised me that for additional $750.00 their legal department would assist us. I told him all I wanted was my $1600.00 back since they were not able to get the interest rate they promised. He got very ignorant with me and said if I file a complaint that they will take us to court, and we would have to come to ********** for the hearing and the judge would rule in their favor and then we would have to pay all their legal fees. I did file a complaint with the ************************* and they indicated to me that this is a scam and to file a complaint with the ************************* which I did.Initial Complaint

The company charge my husband and I ******* to lower my mortage and interest rate. And it never happened. They told us to pay the mortage so we didnt now we are behind on our mortage and have to file bankruptcy so we dont lose our home of 30 years. I do have every email that im more then willing to sent to you. Please help us. this has been going since August 2023.Initial Complaint

I was told this company would reduce his mortgage rate. They told me not to pay my mortgage for 2 months and pay them 2 installments one of $1075 and $1225 and then they would start the process of refinancing his loan. My mortgage company has not heard from them, it has been 4 months. I am getting letters that I am in danger of losing my home for missed payments. When I call National Amendment, they never say that company name. It's always "processing department" or something like that. Not even on their letter head. I blame myself for not doing enough research on his, I believed them and got caught up in this. I believe this is a scam. They will not refund me. Do not pay a service up front before services are rendered. And no company should ask for a Zelle transaction. US Bank has actually increased my my mortgage because of missed payments.Initial Complaint

i sent them a check 9-14 2023 for $1900.00 because they said they would lower my mortage rate to 2% and they have done nothing to make this happen except string me along.now they want to give me back $1000.00 and keep $900.00 and call it even that can not happen best effort does not work it is illegal to take money in ********** with no effort involvedInitial Complaint

In September of 2023, this company and I agreed on a loan modification for my existing mortgage. They instructed me to not pay my mortgage for October and November of 2023 and that I would be in a grace ******* They then charged me $1,950.00 for appraisal and processing fees. They never communicated with my existing mortgage company like they were supposed to, this put me 2 months behind on my mortgage and ruined my excellent credit that I carried for almost 20 years. After I was tired of being lied to, I mailed all of my documents overnight to my mortgage company. My mortgage company then came back and made me a trial offer that was not even close to what was negotiated with National Amendment Assistance. I called and emailed countless times through this whole process to voice my concerns and not one of them was ever addressed. To start this process, they had me sign a bogus document that wasnt even addressed to me. Thats right, they had me sign a legal binding agreement that was NOT addressed to me. They have offered a $125 refund and are refusing to ************* and emails.I have attached a couple of documents for reference. The final straw for me was when I was insulted and provoked over the phone by *******************, one of their managers.Initial Complaint

They said theyd re-structure for our mortgage and cut it in half responded to them sent the money and got all the paperwork had to send all it to our mortgage company and tried to call them numerous times and they never responded but they took our money And were three months behind on our mortgage and put us in a really bad situation . The first payment was for $$925 on December 12th 2023 then they wanted the next payment the next month 26th of January for the amount of $1025.00 And they told us not to pay the mortgage company. Told us to stop paying the mortgage company that they would wed have to do a hardship type thing to restructure the finances. now we are three months behind on our mortgage and wed like to have our money back.We dont have much money this is devastated us. We are on fixed income and very upset.Business response

I was told by ********************* that they would get my mortgage Interest lowered to 2.5%and 2months grace ****** I received nothing I talked with mortgage company because Im behind on payments now so Im doing forbearance because of this this why I want my money backBusiness response
