I hired the law firm to handle a case for me, and while I understand that the lawyers cannot predict the outcome, nor will the outcome be in my favor, that is not what happened in this case. I hired McCready ********* to handle a cause of a Restraining Order that was filed against me, Case No: me (22CMROO1198) and (22CMROO1196), and another case that I filed against *********************. **** McCready nor his law firm helped me in either case, nor did they show up to the court date on 9/14/22 at the *******************. They took my 3,5000.00 and did not help but scam me out of my money. I have been afraid to file a dispute for fraud because I am disputing a lawyer fee. I have been reluctant that the law firm may try to portray a narrative or falsify documents to ***** Fargo as though they helped me when they did nothing and took my money. The original court date for which they were hired to represent me (22CMROO1198) and (22CMROO1196) was on 8/22/22 at 8:30 am and was requested by the McCready ********* for postponement and scheduled for 9/14/22 at 8:30 am. On 9/13/22, I received a text message from ********************************* that stated, "I will see you tomorrow morning." *****, I called **********************, asking him why I was alerted a day before the court date when he initially told me that I did not have to be present. However, I was present for the court date the next day, on 9/14/22, at 8:30 am at ************************* located at *******************************************************************. I sat and waited for court deputies to call my name and case. After waiting, until 11:00 am, I received a text message from ********************************* saying that he would be re-filling my petition because he was in a car accident and could not make it to the court date after I had previously spoken to him approximately 40 minutes before receiving his no show text, he called me saying that he was on the freeway and

There were errors in the complaint but I would like to resolve this matter with the client, if that is possible. In response to her complaint, first, we were not hired to do "a *************, we were hired to do two cases. She cleared that up later in her complaint. Someone had filed a request for a restraining order against her (case #1) and she in turn filed a restraining order against that person (case #1). She paid us $3500 initially with a promise to pay $500 later as an initial retainer, not a flat fee. She promised to pay us $500 one week after the $3500 payment. When the time came for her to make the $500 payment, she did not make the payment on the date that she agreed to make it. I called her and reminded her that the payment was due. She became very hostile but said that she would make the payment when she had the money. She eventually had a friend make the payment for her but that was 16 days after the payment was due. I had to contact her several times to get her to do this and we almost had to discontinue representing her because she was so aggressive whenever we politely reminded her that a payment was due. On the day when she was supposed to appear in court, she did not go in and check in with the bailiff which we instructed her to do.

When I came to court to represent her, she was not in court and could not be located. Nonetheless, we got the case against her dismissed, which was what she wanted. Regarding the restraining order that she wanted against the other woman, we could not get that for her because she was not in court where she was supposed to be. We agreed to refile her petition if she would sign a new retainer which would not result in an additional fee. She refused to sign the retainer. She refused to cooperate in any way which would enable us to get her the restraining order that she wanted. Instead, she notified her credit card company that she had never signed any agreement with us (in order to get a full refund of the fee that we had already earned) which resulted in the credit card company investigating the matter to see if she had signed an agreement with us or not. The credit card company contacted the merchant services company that processes credit card transactions and a decision was reached by the merchant services company and her credit card company that she did in fact sign an agreement with us and we had in fact performed the work that she hired us to perform. Her request for a refund from her credit card company was denied because of this. She was informed by her credit card company that she would not be getting a refund of the fees that she had agreed to pay and which we had earned. She responded by filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Her complaint has other errors which I do not feel the need to respond to.

I want all of my current clients and any potential future clients to know that we take all cases seriously, whether big cases or small cases like this one. We do our best to exceed client expectations and we try to resolve problems that occur when there are miscommunications, as there were in this case. We agreed to waive about $1200 dollars in attorney fees in this case which I believe the client was pleased with.
