Over 7 months ago gave ************************* from 48 planks money to make barn doors. He took $800 up front claiming it was a deposit. I made are she staying with him 4 times to deliver the doors he did not show up and he has not refunded me. He is running some sort of scam and needs to be stopped or arrestedInitial Complaint

I had to cancel an order and ***** (48planks owner) promised to refund the downpayment minus a fee. That was on June 1st 2021. 5 months later (December 2021), with multiple promises and stories about emergencies and "will make good as soon as possible", still no refund. Business practices in my case were horrible. Feels like outright theft.Initial Complaint

Oh June 12th, 2021 I contacted ***** - the owner of 48th planks, seeking a woodwork for our home we were remodeling. Few days later I paid him 50% of the total price to build us a gate and mantel via credit card, total deposit $1345. He said I cannot even get a spot on the calendar without paying %50 down. The gate and mental were supposed tone done within couple weeks. After numerous attempts of contact, reaching out, I finally heard from him with excuses why the product is not finished. I was being very patient and understanding the whole time. On July 26th, I was told it will be delivered to me mid next week. On August 9th, I have received another excuse why it is not done. August 19th, I was told he is finally working on it and will be done shortly. August 24, I was told he cannot bring the finish products and I asked to reschedule for the following week. . August 27th, he asked for couple more day to finish. The whole time he made me believe he is working on it , and it is not just finished. On August 27th, he actually stopped by the house and took measurements, which made evident he did not even start the project. On August 29th, I was informed that it will be installed on September 7 and I will have complete pics available to me on September 6th. I did not have pics till the 7th. The gate did not look right on the pics, so I asked to see it before delivered. The mental was not done at all, just the gate. The gate was not made of solid wood as we agreed and sturdy. It was made of pallet wood and I told him it looked really cheap, an I expressed my disappointment. He apologized and said he will issue the refund right a way. This was 9/9. I did not receive any refund by 9/26 so I reached out to him. Ever since I am getting pushed back about when I will receive my refund and as of 10/26 I did not heard from him. All my supporting documents are on my phone - text messages. And also I have the bank statement from paying him 50% down.
