Purchased 3 coins that one is counterfeit for $3100 and two others that are not as advertised for $4100. Seeking a full refund after returning counterfeit coin to store and refund for difference in price for other two. I have receipts and and spoken with store asking for a refund.Business response

The counterfeit coin in question has been submitted to a respected third-party coin grader, Professional ********************* for authentication. If they determine that the coin is counterfeit, we will issue a full refund. If they determine that the coin is genuine, we will make an offer to buy back the coin at its current market value. Considering it has been more than 8 months since he received the coin from us, the 15-day return window is closed,and we will only consider a full refund if the coin is counterfeit. Regarding the other two coins in question, we would make an offer to buy the coins back at fair market value, but the customer refuses to return the ********************** to us. We cannot offer a refund for coins that are not returned to us.Customer response

I am hesitant to reply that I am satisfied and accept their offer.
I have spoken and shared emails with both ***** and then *****, in not one communication was an apology ever offered to me. I am simply another coin collector, who does not grade coins. I was pleased with L&C Coins layaway plan which allowed me to purchase these coins and the service was good.
Recently, I decided to send my collection to auction and was informed that one of the coins I bought came back as counterfeit. Another two had reverse damage and cleaned. This was not mentioned in the coins description. I didnt refuse to send the other two coins back because they were graded and auctioned. Obviously I lost my shirt on them.
I sent L&C back the counterfeit coin in good faith and furnished them with the original receipt. Yes, it was a little while to send the coin back but they need to understand how unfairly Ive been treated and all the additional stress and frustration that I am having.I am curious to see how PCGS grades the coin and if by chance it does come back as original then I have another road to travel.
