    I bought my house from a friend in 2018. One year prior to that in 2017 my friend had his entire HVAC system replaced by Lennox. This past Saturday, July 6, 2024, only seven years in to this brand new HVAC system, my blower motor for my AC went out. I live in the high desert of ******************* in the temperature ranges from 100 to 115 over the last two weeks. I called the contractor that installed the Lennox system and did not receive a call back until Monday afternoon. I stayed at a local hotel at the cost of about $165 a night. Fortunately for me, my pastor was able to provide me with a small window mounted air conditioning unit that I can put in my master bedroom that has kept the temperature down to the mid and upper 80s. Im currently retired and a surviving cancer patient. The heat in my home is affecting my health.I was fortunate enough to have a mutual friend who came to my house, and we both assessed the breakdown and found that a small diode in the cap of my blower motor at fried out. After a lengthy research online, we discovered that we could not buy just the cap from my particular model and instead had to buy the motor with shipping comes to $1200. My mutual friend has offered to come back when the part arrives and repair my HVAC system.I reviewed my documents of ownership of this Lennox HVAC system and found that I have a 10 year warranty on parts.I contacted Lennox and spoke to a gentleman named ****, who matter of fact, informed me that because I bought my part through a third-party vendor, and then I am not a certified HVAC technician that they will not reimburse me for the cost of my part. Furthermore he informed me that even if I had waited weeks for an HVAC vendor to buy the part from Lennox that they would only reimburse me for the part not labor costs my time in the hotel or any other related cost incurred by me.     We have a Lennox heat pump, we bought this house less than 2 years ago, first winter we were here we had trouble with the heat pump, and since than. The unit is only 5 years old, and since we are second owner of the unit we are not covered with warranty. This unit even had an extended warranty which was transferred to us by the first owners., now we found out Lennox will not honor the warranty. How can a Lennox heat pump have trouble after 3 years and so on. Why is Lennox not being held to honor there warranty , especially when people spend even extra for extended warranty. I will never buy ant other product with the Lennox name on it. This company needs to take care of us consumers, especially when we pay thousand and thousand on there product to be told no warranty is good.
