i have been a member for many years and have always had good experiences however on june 11, 2024 a plumber from this company came to check a noise i was hearing in the pipes for the tub and when he arrived the hot and cold water were both on. the day before i turned them both off and on so i am 100% certain they worked without issue. when he arrived they were both still on as i had used them the night before. he turned them both off and when he turned them back on he broke the hot valve by turning it way to hard and could not get the hot water back on. he then told me for 350$ he would repair it and lied to my face claiming he never shut it off when i watched him do so - we even conversed about it while he was doing it. i am on disability and can not afford to pay him to repair something he broke. i spoke at length to home alliance about this situation and they said "their plumber said it was broken and he did not break it" so there is nothing they can do about it. basically they took his side. i have asked them several times for the plumbers state license number they give me the runaround. i was supposed to receive a licensed plumber which i did not. i also requested the paperwork twice that they provide when they have someone come out for a service call and again nothing was provided. i requested to speak with management and again that request was denied. now i have to pay a real licensed plumber to repair the water shut off they broke as i have no hot water to shower with.

I called Alliance Repair/HomeAlliance.com on March 8 to request a technician to come and fix a KitchenAid freezer. I spoke to a sales associate who sold me a "one month membership fee" of $79 which would give me access to unlimited technician visits for 1 month for any appliance. I confirmed with the associate that this was a one time fee, and I was not interested in a long term membership and they assured me this would be the case and in addition to having unlimited technician visits for the month, the travel fees would be waived. I paid the fee via credit card and was scheduled with a technician the following Monday. Everything went smoothly with this visit - the technician fixed our fridge and we paid for his services. One month later, on April. 8, I received another charge from HomeAlliance.com for $99.00, a completely unauthorized charge. There was no contact from Alliance Repair/HomeAlliance.com and I did not talk to them or purchase anything from them. On April 9, and spoke to **** who said that I had purchased a membership. I told him that this was incorrect, and he asked if I wanted to refund and cancel the membership. I pressed and asked him why I was even charged for a membership to begin with and he said this was authorized from the March 8 phone conversation, when I asked what the $79 charge was he then told me that this was not his department and all he could do was send my request for refund to billing. This business seems to be involved in fraudulent charging practices.
