I sent you one lot of money at Christmas. I clicked on the box that says no contact. I do not want information sent to me. I do not want to be on your donation mass mail out. I do not want to call for the 5th time to get off your stinking list. I have called you and called you to get off your lists. You are invading my privacy and against my wishes. I will never donate to you again and I would tell every single one of my friends who regularly donate to street kids not to donate to you. TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST. YOU ARE HARASSING ME. YOU ARE ANNOYING ME. AND YOU ARE IGNORING EVERY POLITE ATTEMTP MADE BY ME TO HAVE MYSELF REMOVED.Business response

This record was coded appropriately to stop all mailings on January 18, 2024 HOWEVER it doees take about 12 weeks for mailings to stop. The mailings are in a queue. It appears that the March mailing is the last in the queue.

Our response was as follows: Hello Ms. ********, I am contacting you in response to your complaint regarding removal from Covenant House mailing lists. First, I apologize that you have had so much trouble with your request! It is our intention to always respond quickly and positively to the wishes of those who prefer not to receive our communications. In response, I wanted to let you know what we have done to help ensure they stop as quickly as possible. In the 33 cities that CH operates across the US, we opt to partner with our larger federation for mailing purposes, so do not operate our own mail program. The mail you are receiving is from our parent affiliate, Covenant House International. We have contacted them and forwarded your complaint to ensure you are removed from all lists moving forward. Though I believe the issue has been resolved at this point, if you do continue to receive mail after receiving this email, please call them directly at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX, and they will be able to assist you. Unfortunately, since we are technically a separate entity, we do not have access to the systems they utilize to manage the mail program on our behalf. Alternatively, you are welcome to contact me directly again, and I can revisit with my contact there. Again, we sincerely apologize for any confusion our structure may have caused.Initial Complaint

My purchase of 19 dollars per month was made about a week ago, because I really thought that this organization would change things. But honestly, since I donated that money a week ago, I thought of how there wasn't a video or pictures or even proof in general, that this organization is doing what it needs to do. So I want to cancel my monthly donations, however I can't because theres no option on their site to even do that. So its like im stuck in the loop and I really can't get out of it, forced to donate even if I try to cancel, Or maybe its just me not searching around, but I really need my donation cancelled, as I don't feel like my money is being put to good use.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 15, 2021/12/13) */ We apologize for the experience **. ***** encountered when trying to cancel his recurring donation with Covenant House. The donation was processed through Covenant House International, which is a separate entity from Covenant House California (CHC). CHC does not have the autonomy to cancel donations made through Covenant House International. Due to the confusion of how our agencies were structured, **. ***** contacted CHC directly for this issue. Once we determined the gift was not made to our local CHC entity, we worked with Covenant House International on behalf of **. ***** to resolve the issue. It did take additional time for us to locate the correct office in which to work with to have his gift cancelled. At this time, his donations have been cancelled and this issue is resolved.
