On July 16th our vehicle was involved in an accident and the tow truck for Slauson Collision Center inc. randomly appeared and offered their services for taking the vehicle. The agreement was that they were going to fix the vehicle for a total of *********. In time **** was paid for only the amount of ******** on September 2, 2022 as advised from our lawyer. And then contacted us again saying we needed to pay him ******** more but only in cash in order for him to continue to work on our car. We agreed and showed up with the money and he was not there. After a phone call he answered and then said it was going to now be more than ***** but couldn't give an exact total and said that he would return our phone call and never did. Later on that day he returned the phone call with a different statement now saying that we had to contact our bank who handles the car loan because he claimed that we abandoned the vehicle which is very untrue because we were constantly on top for statuses for the vehicle since we really needed it returned to have our 2nd vehicle to use for our jobs. We would show up and he was never there on property supposedly is what we would get told every single attempt. We continuously called him and then phone calls with him then turned into harassment. He was verbally abusive every single time. We no longer wanted his services and wanted our car returned as is and **** refused and held onto our vehicle. In time we learned that **** managed to go to the Dmv and changed the name on the registration to his illegally. We started a case with the ****** of ********** Repair. Started a case with our bank loan who have all been informed. The dealership has also been informed. He is known to be doing this to other people after doing some research online in regards to his business.
