On 7/27/21, Summerville Woodworks was engaged to build an under stairway seating and storage built-in unit from maple plywood, office printer and filing cabinet out of maple plywood, appliance panels for refrigerator and dishwasher (wood supplied), and modify interior kitchen cabinet. **** was given detailed measurements and drawings for sitting and storage unit and office cabinet with photos of expectations for job, which included cane cabinet panels so electronics could vent. **** visited several times to measure & discuss job and we agreed on a price for seating/storage unit ($*****), office cabinet ($*****), repair work ($150), and appliance panels ($750) on 8/11/21 when he submitted formal contract. **** took 3 months to deliver parts of the job and failed to finish, resulting in a cancelled contract. The job has no value to me unfinished. In addition, **** repeatedly balked at providing the cane door panels, & drawers that were in my drawings and his renderings, repeatedly lying about their inclusion in our verbal agreement. **** talked about the work as if it were a favor & basically did what he wanted over 3 months leaving me worried that he wouldn't finish. When he delivered mismatched drawer panels, he blamed it on me (as if everyone should pay ********* of dollars for doors that don't match). He delivered the dishwasher panel too small (cost of wood provided $65), the refrigerator panel scratched, damaged my new hardwood floors irreparably, damaged drywall and paint, kept a phenolic plywood tabletop he to use for taking off legs & then to return. The stress of working with **** *********** was uncalled for. This should have been a 4 week job, but he left a mess every time, damage he didn't fix, until finally disappearing altogether with job unfinished. **** never returned after a partial payment on 10/8/21 saying he was starting another job. Storage/sitting unit is missing doors, has holes/scratches, office cabinet has no top, no supply drawer, & no doors
