I had bought jewelry over several years at the Barakat Gallery (at the time they were on *********** in **). When I bought these items they told me they would always take them back and sell on consignment. In 2017 I sent them back the items I had bought so they could sell on consignment. I spoke to the manager at the time, ***************************, and we agreed on the sales prices of the items and he sent me a receipt for the items and that there would be a 25% commission. They never sold any of these items in the intervening years so in November of 2023 I called the Barakat Gallery and told them I wanted my consignment jewelry returned to me. I was told **** had been fired and I spoke to someone named ********* who said didn't know where my items were and would have to find them. I waited several weeks for a call back and I never heard back and I called again and now my number is being blocked. I emailed several times with no response. I also tried emailing their gallery in ****** as well, again with no response. I have the receipt which I did attach to an email to them and would be happy to provide. The total sales price for the items is $23,250. They will not communicate with me and I no longer live in *********** so can't just go to the store. I'm looking for help to resolve this issue as they will not communicate with me so I can only assume they have lost or stolen my property.
