I've been paying these people money's then the one time I can't they threatened me with jail and anything else this ************************* could come up with. They have called threatening my mother, even my kids. Then after me letting them know a head of time I couldn't pay a payment this week they ran my debit card 4 times. So now I'm getting a lawyer and fighting this. These people are in the wrong for the way they do business. I will be taking legal action in this, you do not call and threatening a person's family!!!!

I had to give at least one star, it wouldn't let me give zero. Wow, this had me going nuts early today. My wife and I are in the final stages of approval for our loan on our new home, and I get a call from someone named ***(?) saying that I had a civil case filed against me regarding a **** of America account, and I owe $5100. Well.....I didn't have an account with ***, but I also was scared that this would wreck the loan approval. I told them I had no clue what they were talking about, and so I was told they'd "send the court date in the mail." I work for a law office, it is easy for me to do a quick background check on myself. No CIVIL CASES are filed against me anywhere in *******. Nowhere. Not a single county in any state. I called BOA as well and spoke with their collections department...THEY DO NOT OUTSOURCE COLLECTIONS TO ANYONE....EVER. While on the phone with them, my mom called in on the other line. Our *************(?) had called her and told her that I had a civil judgement against me and that I needed to reach them immediately. I reassured her that it was being taken care of and that I was on the other line with BOA. I then did a further check online, and it lead me to these BBB complaints....THANK YOU FOR LEAVING THESE!!!! I BREATHED A HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF.....and I swear to God, 20 minutes later my wife and I both were CC'ed on an email from *******************.....WE WERE APPROVED FOR THE LOAN! God is good, happy holidays everyone. PLEASE DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO THIS MORALESS OUTFIT. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.

This Group keeps leaving me voice mails......I have checked my credit report and there are no debts on my credit report. I called the number they left on voice mail. They have my name and address, but they refuse to give me any kind of information about the "debt" unless I provide them with sensitive information like SS# and date of birth which could be used to steal my identity or use it for fraudulent activity. If I have said debt, they would already have this information. The website is extremely vague. Today I answered a call from the same number they keep calling.I checked my credit report and there is no such debt!

Midland Group threatens civil action against a debt outside the statute of limitations in the *******************. They are in direct violation of the ***** and continue to harass members of the family despite several instructions to STOP communications. Demand for a ******* Notice has never been received despite what this company states was "sent out". Several hours have been spent with communications with local courts that Midland group states a "Civil Law Suite" has been filed or will be filed. It is against the ***** to threaten legal action with no further action. Midland Group needs to be held accountable for its violations. Filing a complaint with the BBB in hopes that when a class action is established Midland Group will have to pay out compensation claims to my family and others harassed. If you are also in this situation please:Report the Action to the State Attorney General In addition to violating the *****, the debt collector might also be violating state laws. You might want to contact the state ************************* to receive guidance on a possible ***** lawsuit and for any possible state law actions against the debt collector.Many of these offices also receive complaints against debt collectorsif it gets enough against one collector, it might prosecute on behalf of the state.

***** would have rated zero stars but it was not available. Got a call from them claimed I had a civil case and complaint filed against me when I asked for further clarification they were unwilling to clarify. Then they started reaching out to distant relatives/friends. Ive been a victim of credit fraud in the past and took it to court. Ive monitored my credit reports every year. How is this legal when they are harassing friends and family during working business hours.

They claimed I owe $2k bc of a Lowes credit card which I never had and tried to *** me.

Got a call from midland Group and Associates saying I owed money for a repossession that was back from ****. That I owed $5k but could pay $2k to resolve it. I went ahead and paid ir because they said they would *** me. My daughter looked more into it and spoke with the lady I spoke to and she said the loan was with Americredit. So my daughter called Americredit and a specialist had to research it since the account was so old. I got a call back from them and they had never heard of Midland group and that since that account was so old noone could are me for it. So my daughter called that Midland person back and she said I could dispute it so I could get my money back. This woman must have thought we were not going to look into her scam. From the get go the year she gave me of the repo and the dollar amount that was owed didn't match what the bank had. She also went from saying she was a mediator to an account admin.

This company had a scam caller call me to get information for my mother in law claiming they were suing her for a debt of almost $7k from 21+ years ago but claim she can pay roughly $1600 over the phone to cancel said debt!!! However this said debt was written off in 2016 according to them. I refused to give out any of her info and told them that if there really was a civil case filed against her in the county in which we reside, 1. It would pull up on the county website as a civil suit filed against her and 2. They would have the correct address to serve her!! This is the biggest money mongering bs ever!! PS.... She never even had an account with the company they claim they are collecting for.

What a joke. This company claimed I had a civil case and complaint filed against me. In order to make it believable they knew the last 4 of my social. Easy to get these days. Then they proceeded to ask me my birthdate to verify. I said no way. I was just a victim of debit card fraud for $8k. Then I stated that If you're looking for me that bad you've found me but won't tell me what the complaint is, who filed it or where I can go in person to talk about the matter. These scumbags even contacted my ex-wife of 13 years ago to pitch their ****. They aren't a member of the BBB. Why???? Because its a scam and they are blood sucking pieces of ****. Zero stars.

This company called me yesterday saying I owe money to a creditor that I don't recall They claim it's a deb from 2006 to 2013. The statue of limitations in TX is 4 yrs. I'm not signing anything to this suspicious company. Please stop calling and emailing me. I already have a debt attorney that said we would win this case against this collection company
