This business takes excessive X-rays and photographs that are not covered by insurance. They bill excessively to insurance and use every appointment to rack up maximum charges. Even when I have said this is excessive to them in the office - they insist it is policy, and I have now been billed a 2nd time (the first time they cancelled).West coast dental has been okay at handling my care. However, they usually require 2-3 hours of time and they bill excessively for unnecessary services that are not covered by insurance.I havent had a single cavity or surgical procedure at this office, and they still insist on excessive charges for unnecessary images - which my insurance denies and they invoice. Its a scam.

On 12/18/23 I went to my scheduled appointment at Dental Center of Arcadia for a root canal treatment. I have been a member of DCA for over 20 years. At the time of dental treatment I did not have the attached $200.00 gift card with me. Within several days after treatment I returned to *** and presented the gift card to the office manager. The manager ******** gave me several reasons why she/they could not accept the gift card, 1) Since I had insurance they could not accept the *** 2) They was not able to accept GC and patients insurance. The remedy that the office manager offered on that date was a free teeth withering on a later visit. I kept that offer in mind until my next DCA visit. On my next scheduled visit to *** on 5/15/24 I spoke with the new office manager (informed that previous office manager Virginia no longer with company) and was informed that she/they could not honor the offer from another manager. That manager said that she will inform corporate of my issues and let me know. At the time of this letter I have not heard from DCA.Furthermore, after I was initially denied the usage of my *** I reached out to corporate and was informed that there was no reason that I shouldve not been able to use the *** Without going into details the corporate representative stated that all offices may not operate the same way. Its may be based on the individual office manager discretion.I believe this is false advertisement on the part of DCA, they offer customers/consumers discount and GC that they are not able to use. When presented. They use tactics to get you in for dental treatment and refuse to honor their discount once service is rendered.

Formal Complaint Regarding Refund Delay Dear Sir/*****,I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the handling of my refund request at the Dental Group of Arcadia, located at *******************************************************************************************************************On July 13th, 2023, I paid $2206.20 for crown to be installed. However, I later decided not to proceed with the crown and informed the office of my decision. I initiated the refund process in August or September of 2023. Despite my consistent follow-**** my refund has not been processed as of June 4, 2024.Throughout this period, I have faced significant delays and have been repeatedly told that my refund would be processed "next week." It has now been over 20 weeks since I was first assured that my refund was forthcoming, but I have yet to receive it. Additionally, the dental office has refused to issue my refund by check or money order, insisting on returning the funds to my original credit card. Unfortunately, I have lost the credit card used for the payment and have replaced it with a new one. New card has a different card number as the card I used to pay, which I believe is the reason for the delay in processing my refund.I request that you address this issue promptly and process my refund of $2206.20 through an alternative method, such as a check or money order, to ensure that I receive the funds without further delay.Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

I went to the dental office on a recommendation from a friend. Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Not only did they bill my insurance for services that they did not provide for me, but they also made me pay a $300 deposit for a future appointment. Had the doctor actually listen to me or done their duty they wouldve seen that I had a horrible infection and a fractured tooth instead of offering to help me they made an appointment for me on ************************************************************ to even get an appointment there. I was bullied by the treatment coordinator into paying a 300 deposit for that appointment that I was supposed to have on May 30 , unfortunately since I was in so much pain, I could not wait for that appointment. I canceled it and wanted a refund for my $300 instead after I called many times and Im trying to talk to the corporate office about the refund and about the in accurate and deceptive fraudulent insurance charges that theyre charging to my insurance. They are only giving me $220 back , I want my $300 and an explanation on why they are not giving me the $300. Every time I call to talk to them they tell me I have to talk to the corporate office. When I try to call it asked for an extension. Since none of the options are about insurance insurance issues or refunds I am forced to go to the operator . Every time I call and try to talk to the operator they put me on immediate hold and leave me there until the system hangs up on after a loud chirping beep. I am going to be considering a lawsuit against the doctor for malpractice as well. I was told when I went there the first time. A week earlier that my teeth were in great shape and I must be kind of just making up any pain or discomfort that I feel there. After still mean and horrible pain for another. I plan to contact a lawyer about malpractice with the dentists. But I want all my money back.

I went in March 2024 to get three fillings. The dentist told me the insurance would cover a certain amount and I would need to cover the rest. I paid the charge and went through with the procedure. A month later, I get a bill saying that the insurance did not cover everything and now I need to pay the rest. They should have been 100% clear about the charges prior to going through with the procedure. They should have checked with my insurance before going through with it, so that I as the customer can decide if I want to go through with the procedure or not. That is what I assumed they did, but now they are telling me it was only a cost estimate and trying to blame the insurance. I believe it's the dentists fault for not being clear about what I had to pay out of pocket. I've been to other dentists and I have never been deceived this way before.

Dentist office charged me $1,329, however Metlife is stating I should only owe $928. Date of procedure was March 25, 2024. The dental office is not able to provide me an explanation of the difference in balance of $401. The dental office refuses to speak with me regarding the charges. Metlife, my dental insurance, was unable to assist me. Metlife tried to contact West ***************************** were unresponsive. West Coast at one point admitted to charging incorrectly to Metlife, but refuses to tell what those charges were.

I came in to get a simple teeth cleaning, they said I had a cavity that needed to be fixed and gum disease and all this other work done that needed to be a priority over the cleaning. I trusted them because ********* had good reviews on Zocdoc. They took my insurance card & failed to tell me they didnt accept my insurance and instead called me back after my paperwork and and insurance card were returned. They took down my social security number for what was explained to me as a dental financing option for the cavity and cleaning, & it turned out to be a $3500 LOAN for work they hadn't even completed. They sneakily didn't bill my insurance, because my insurance would NOT HAVE paid out for work that hadn't been completed. When they did a root canal on the cavity, they did an imprint & finally brought me back in the office to get my new crown. After they showed me in the mirror, I was horrified to see a mismatched yellow tooth beside my bleached teeth and they tried to pass it off as acceptable. The hygienist got visibly annoyed when I expressed dissatisfaction with the color, and said "well it's the lightest shade we have, look this is the tooth color chart, we don't have a color chart for bleached teeth". I was mortified & insisted that it be fixed and have them order a new one, in which I was made to drive to an office 50 miles round trip to get a color match for a crown. ***** is the woman behind the billing and the loan. I wish so badly that I hadn't ever come here, because my teeth are ruined and Ive paid DOUBLE the quoted price because of the financing. 3 years later and I havent even been able to pay it off, although the principle amount was paid off a year ago!!! I wish I had known about bbb earlier. Wish I had known better about the whole experience but I hadnt been to the dentist in years and was too naive to understand something like this could happen. By the time I realized that the insurance wasnt billed the work had been done and the loan processed.

I received dental treatment in October 2023. At the time of service, I paid $370 after applying my MetLife dental insurance. MetLife has since provided me with information saying that they covered approximately $700, and that my total out-of-pocket expense should be $704, meaning that I should owe a balance of $334. However, West Coast Dental states that I owe a balance $503 and has not provided an explanation for this discrepancy and has not provided an itemized explanation of this charge.
