Contracted with Blueprint for tutorial services. Services were not rendered. Requested a full refund due to services not rendered. The tutor was unassigned. Company tried to put a burden of proof on the customer, when again services were never received. I am still speaking a full refund. According to the ***, customers are entitled to a full refund in 7 days after the request for cancellation. This company demands to get paid, when no services have been rendered. Finally, again, services were never rendered.Business response

I purchased the 170+ guaranteed score for the **** with a money back guarantee, and completed all the required modules and assignments. After taking the exam I did not receive the guaranteed score so I contacted the business and they claim I did not complete all of the assignments even though my dashboard/homepage clearly shows that I did. The money back guarantee is a major part of their marketing so they should honor it and refund me. I have seen many complaints with the exact same issue on the BBB page.Business response

This learner has been refunded.Customer response

The response from the company was, "This learner has been refunded." On 8/21/24.
I did not respond because I believed that meant the company would refund me and I was happy with that resolution. However, it has been over ten days and I have not received anything from the company.Initial Complaint

I was told as a customer using ********************** Prep for an LSAT online prep class if I met all the class requirements and my LSAT score did not improve I would get refunded for the price of the course. Well I met all the requirements and they are disagreeing with me that I met all their requirements. The home page when I log in shows I completed all the modules (training videos/quizzes) and they are saying I did not. It must be a technical issue, but why would my student dashboard say I completed all the modules when they are saying I did not. I should be refunded because my LSAT score did not improve after taking the expensive course.Business response

On March 28th I payed for 1 month to ***** ******** NP reviews for the crash course. on April 5th I emailed them saying that I was dissatisfied with the service and would like to get a refund. The lectures were 5-8 minutes long on huge topics like dermatology, and cardiovascular, and respiratory, and covered the most basic information that I could have gotten a better explanation from ******* or tik tok. Extremely disappointing. I did not receive any correspondence back from my email. Because of the website design, I did not think that the subscription was going to be recurring. So i was surprised to find that the subscription was automatically renewed and processed on April 27th, a day before a month subscription would have even been done. I emailed them again stating that I was disappointed in the service from the very start and did not want to continue and didn't know the service was recurring and would like a refund. I was told there would be no refund as the automatic subscription had already gone through. This is such shady and sly business practice, not mentioning anywhere that the subscription is recurring, and not asking for permission to renew and process such a large payment, and then refusing a refund under any circumstance.Business response

Student enrolled and utilized course resources. The *************************** the price ($139/monthly), on the product description page ("This course is a monthly subscription that renews every 30 days. You are responsible for canceling your membership within your account when it is no longer needed"), and in the cart upon checkout where product is called "Crash Course Monthly Subscription." The welcome email received and opened by the customer on March 28, 2024 also states that this is a subscription that renews every 30 days, and includes instructions on how to check account expiration date and how to cancel a subscription. Student reached out with a technical complaint in March which was resolved, and we received no further communication until April 28th. Refund policies are listed at npreviews.com/refund-policy.Initial Complaint

Blueprint test prep is a platform that offers students help with studying for exams such as the ***** I purchased a package from them and recently found incorrect information in their textbooks. In addition to the incorrect information (which students rely on because no one is going to assume a textbook is wrong), there are an incredible number of typos in their product. After spending over $2000, I am now unsure about all the material in the book. Blueprint refuses to compensate me for their mistake. Including wrong information is not addressed in their policy. Moreover, I can no longer access the allegedly correct information in the online module since my package was for 6 months.Business response

We sincerely apologize for the typo found in our text books, and offered a 2-week account extension to the student as a make-good. We have corrected the error for our next print of text books. While typos and errors are rare, they do happen from time to time and are covered in our terms of use found at *********************************************************;Initial Complaint

Blueprint MCAT 515 guarantee is advertised as a simple score bump with coursework or money back/additional time but when they failed to provide content instruction to help my daughter raise her score, they denied our request for either a refund or a 6 month extension. She was meticulous about fulfilling everything they told her to do to get the guarantee but now they are trying to say she had irregularities. Most people who sign on for a 3k prep course are probably motivated and meticulous but may also not get a significant benefit from this sub-par program. Blueprint wasted our money, which was not insignificant, but they also wasted her time. She would have gotten a higher score had she just taken multiple practice exams and studied on her own at a fraction of the cost of this high-priced scam.Business response

Refund was denied due to irregularities in the diagnostic exam score. The diagnostic needs to be taken under accurate test format and conditions; taking the diagnostic without accurate conditions voids the guarantee as stated at blueprintprep.com/guarantee.Customer response

Complaint: 21387367
I am rejecting this response because: they accepted the diagnostic exam and recorded it as complete at the time my daughter took the course. Their guarantee online does not match what they tell clients when they deny the guarantee. Ad promises differ remarkably from course instructions and course instructors routinely advise students to skip coursework then say afterward that the exempt coursework is the reason for the denial. The company initially denied the guarantee for a different reason than the diagnostic and my daughter not only took the diagnostic in good faith, but demonstrated similar scores on MCAT testsreal and practice. She is a straight A student and worked very hard and followed the course instructions. The course is designed not to improve MCAT scores but ******* people with fraudulent promise. We were told she could neither have her money back or a full course extension. We want others to know the guarantee is not real and the company does not honor either guarantee promiseno money back and no chance to extend coursework for 6 months (the time it would take to redo the course)
We would NEVER have paid this much money if there had not been a guarantee and we have documentation to support the lies told to prospective and current students.
Sincerely,

Per our previous response, the diagnostic must be taken under accurately timed test timing and conditions. In this case, the diagnostic was not completed in accurate timing conditions, voiding the guarantee.Customer response

Complaint: 21387367
I am rejecting this response because: Blueprint initially denied the guarantee for an entirely different, equally spurious reason. They denied it instantly based on the alleged rigors of what had to be satisfied to get the guarantee. I confirmed the written instructions for the guarantee at that time. The course instructors do not have the qualifications they are supposed to have and they routinely tell students to opt out of module that are then required for the guarantee. The diagnostic is a false front designed to lower student scores to reduce the risk of the guarantee being viable. From the beginning we have asked for either a 6 mo extension or money back, but as my daughter took the diagnostic under the conditions dictated by Blueprint in good faith, no extension or refund will require us to pursue all civil and criminal remedies at our disposal. The guarantee is a lie, discovery will be interesting and others should be warned immediately that this course is counterproductive and not content-driven.we have all our records and will forward them to our lawyers, various attorneys general, and the national media.
Sincerely,

Student upgraded from nonrefundable course to tutoring, so original money was applied to upgrade to the tutoring package. No option exists to double-refund for both unused tutoring hours and the previously purchased online course (which is not eligible for refund per blueprintprep.com/refund-policy).Initial Complaint

I paid for a four month subscription with the self-paced-course plan with Blueprint LSAT test prep. Their site clearly advertises a "score increase money back guarantee" and they strongly advertise a refund if your score fails to increase. My score did not increase, and the service was not effective. I purchased four months of The Self Paced Course. Their response is that the refund policy/guarantee is only valid for Self-Paced courses over three months, and the pay-as-you-go subscription is not covered. I purchased a four months subscription using pay-as-you-go. I never was notified of this policy upon checkout, and their refund policy is not direct, clear, or concise. 1) They abundantly advertise a score increase guarantee, without any indication that it is only valid for certain plans. (This constitutes as false advertising in the United States) 2) I purchased a subscription for four months, longer than their 3 month package which is covered by the guarantee, it's unfair and deceptive. (Their refund policy is misleading and hard to understand) 3) The only part of the site that indicates this is the refund policy is the refund policy section, but no where upon check out. How am i supposed to know that only certain plans are covered? Why don't the ads mention not all plans are covered, or direct customers to check the policy? "Today's enforcement policy statement makes clear that tricking consumers into signing up for subscription programs or trapping them when they try to cancel is against the law," said ****** ******* Director of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection. "Firms that deploy dark patterns and other dirty tricks should take notice." I chose this prep course under the false assumption that i was protected by the money back guarantee, clearly advertised on the platform. That is why i chose blueprint. There is a clear violation of the law taking place here Also, when i ask about this, they are evasive and do not provide me with any answer.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/11/21) */ Our team has reviewed this matter internally, and the relevant policy and management teams are aligned with the resolution. Product is not eligible for our guarantee as is stated at https://blueprintprep.com/guarantee. Refund and guarantee criteria are linked in payment receipt. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/11/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This is not a lawful response to the issue I have brought to you attention. Florida Law has been violated on behalf of Blueprint. Florida Law specifies the notice to be shown "at point of purchase", not on the receipt according to your response. I would like to know why Blueprint violates Florida Law by not specifying the guarantee terms upon point of purchase. This would have prevented me from making this purchase as I follow Florida Law and have been aware of these regulations. It was not mentioned, and i believed i was entitled to a refund because it was not properly displayed at point of purchase as Florida Law requires. Please let me know why Blueprint does not follow Florida Law. I would like to know why. Blueprint has continued to evade answering this question and i am demanding an answer as a consumer who paid $1,200 for your advertised services (which i did not receive). I deserve to know why Blueprint disregards Florida Laws. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I purchase Blueprint Lsat, I am not satisfy at all. Blueprint offers false advertisement, money back guarantee which is lie. I would like to get my full refund back from blueprint. Blueprint method is a horrible method for me as it is way over and above my level. The course is supposed to meet learners at their respective level. I contacted the customer service representative and the manager, but their super rude and not responsive. At the time of the registration I contacted blueprint several times but they deny to help me out. Blueprint does not hear customers review, concerns, False advertisement. Make promises on their website but under deliver. This is unacceptable for me.The refund policy provided to me is not the refund policy the company is using. There are three different refund policies on their website. Problem: False advertising by sales/customer service, refund policy being used to deny my refund is not the refund policy provided at time of purchase. THIS COMPANY IS FRAUD.Business response
