RRFC Is a great school , I really enjoy learning the professionals , They make it easy to learn with hands on training and learning . My experiences with my Mentor and Academic Facilitator were really good , I have grown to love them and think of them as family because , They are good at what they do and the both have great personalities , I will miss learning with them . What I loved most about the program was was everything to be honest , The listening Libraries are good, and learning the Ableton program were great. I just really love learning, I want to take the nine month course as well . The length program was ten weeks and I learned so much , in that amount of time , It worked for me because, I'm a mother of four children and I have a part time job. I do love the fact that they were able to do a payment plan for me and I was able to pay it off really quickly. I feel like I have invested in my children's and my own future with RRFC , and with knowledge I have gained with RRFC thanks to them I' am now a music producer , I' am so excited to start using my new skills with actual clients . I love the fact of that were learning in the comfort of our home instead of a boring classroom . I really loved all the contents of the * book It teaches you everything that you need to know , while still getting guidance from you Mentor and Academic Facilitator , because we have weekly sessions. Overall I had a epic experience learning with RRFC , I look forward to taking the nine month course next .Review from Sahil P

I got to have many great hands on experiences learning under RRFC, I got to go film at important events, meet other like minded creatives, learn lots of new skills with equipment and film, and really get a feel for what working in the industry could be like. My mentor was a reliable source for questions and a helpful guide for many of the events I took part in. I only wish I got to spend even more time on different projects, but the ones I did get to be a part of I always felt like I was learning something new. If there was anything the program could improve, I'd say its the planning and scheduling around projects. The program is advertised for being very flexible with someones schedule, which it succeeds in, but I often felt I had to ask what projects were coming up to see I could work on them rather than being told directly or through a planning sheet of some kind. I think I missed opportunities for work because I wasn't aware of something I could have taken part in. Besides that, I felt I had a great and beneficial time learning here, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more through real work in film.Review from Arman A

The program was great. The one on one hands on is definitely easier than reading about it only especially if your a hands on learner like myself. Having the guidance of your mentor through the program and learning at low stress pace is helpful too. The only things I would say that were difficult at times was the communication between the school and myself and the layout of the textbook would get confusing at times because of learning from no previous knowledge and being new to how audio engineering works but also reading materials in one section and then later on it being explained. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to learn about audio engineering.Review from kyle f

Working hands-on throughout the Radio Connection program worked well for me because Radio is by default a hands on job. My mentor could have gone on for hours each day talking about the theory of broadcasting, but that probably wouldn't have benefited me. I got a unique opportunity to train my voice and presentation skills. ********************* and *********************** were truly masters of their field and I couldn't have asked for a better facilitator and mentor. They have passed on very valuable information that I'll certainly take with me into my career. My time within the program has prepared me in the best ways for real world broadcasting, and I'm excited to see it all pay off. My only criticism of the program was that the textbook didn't have the best grammar at times. Texts were confusing and felt very disorganized, and seemed like it tried to have some kind of "hollywood" tone at times that took away from the information of it. Also, in the early months when I first applied, I felt like I had to **** down some of the admin staff to get a response out of them. Other than those things, I had an amazing time in Radio Connection.Review from Grady T

The academic side of the film program could be 10x better than it is. My mentor was really great though and I was able to grow my network in the film industry, which is a huge part of getting into film. You have to be really, really proactive, this program is definitely for the self-motivated and self-starter type of people. Put in the work and you'll see results.Review from John R

Overall, I feel I learned a great deal by taking this course. My academic advisor, ****, was excellent. The hands-on experience I got in the studio was invaluable, and the studio I was assigned to gave me an internship when the course ended. Hopefully, I'm on track to begin a new career in audio engineering.Review from Tyler J

Interesting reading some of the other reviews here. Since this is a mentor/apprentice program it is important that you choose the right mentor. My mentor has been dope. His knowledge of the equipment and attacking the genre of music you are trying to create let me focus on being creative rather than being a frustrated tech. Remember, you don't have to take the first mentor you are offered, although from what I can tell the Recording Connection does a pretty good job of matching you with the right one first time out.
