It started out with wanting to have a safe place for myself and 2 of my children to get fit and workout for better health. For the next couple of months, the bill was sent using Fitness 19 Automatic payments. There was 2 card on file for all three accounts. Then one of the debit cards on file was not able to be charged so there was an automatic late charge now after that the second card was charged with both a charge and a late fee with an additional late fee added to the second card. This went on for 2 months. I called the billing depart.1 Late fee was adjusted. Then their annual gym fee was charged to all 3 of the members and paid. The next monthly invoice was then charged again with the same issue as before. The billing was called they reversed both late fees and only charged the not fee on all memberships. The third time it happened again. I was done. I told the main club In Eagle Rock CA I would like to cancel the membership. I was not interested in having double bills for the gym membership on all 3 accounts.I would not pay the funds of $30.00. A **** a month dues on 3 accounts plus a $10.00 Late fee on each count. So for the next 2 months, a charge was continued to my debit card. The charges continued every month even though I called Eagle Rock CA, where I canceled along with the billing headquarter. The collection for a fee is now on my credit and my 18 then and now 20-year-old daughter's. Shame on Fitness 19. Hurting someone's credit for a gym membership is just dirty business practice. Fitness 19 is scum for hurting my credit score because I chose not to attend and pay for a gym membership. It's worse to see Fitness 19 is willing to ruin a younger individual credit.Dirty Business practices on the billing. Come to find out Fitness 19 Has done this before.I want a full removal of all 3 accounts from any credit bureau and the dismal of any collection fees for all 3 accounts. 3 annual fees were collected and paid for 4****.

I recently joined the club but things changed a week after. I was unable to get off work on time to be able to attend my first scheduled training. I was having trouble finding child care etc. I understand cancellation policy within 5 days upon joining the club. However, I missed it and it was on the 6th day when I finally had the chance to call the gym and inform them of my intent to cancel. I was given a number to call to cancel my membership, and I was told that the only way to cancel trainings is to do it in-person with their manager. I did call the number and process my membership cancellation per the given instruction. I went to the club on a Saturday (as I don't have work) and was told that manager is only in during weekdays. I took off from work on a Tuesday due to my ******************* appointment ******************************* and I to stopped by the gym afterwards with my daughter. The manager was not in. A lady named **** tried to help me, she said that manager was not in so she will try to call the manager. She stood up and went to the back. She came back and told me that she have a good news for me. We can go ahead and cancel your training, but you need to pay four invoices, total amount is over ***** That is not a good ***** I was there asking for a little bit of understanding and consideration, to cancel without penalties or waive the fees. The lady said the the gym is available, it's just that I don't want to come. Must be nice to hear that from a trainer (i think she is a trainer) who does not even know what i'm going through or my struggles as a single parent. I joined the gym because I want to. But there are ********** things that is beyond my control. ******** me for over **** that I won't be able to use is not right. Of course, they will be fine in taking m money. Because they got the money without having to train. But it's not right. I would like to cancel and waive fees. I already got charged **** for the first week.

In February of 2020 I went to may local Fitness 19 to check out the gym, and look into a membership. I tried the Gym out once, upon leaving I received a few texts, and a phone call stating that without my checking account number they could not start a membership for me. Very shortly after the Covid pandemic hit, and I never went back, and assumed since they could not start the membership (per their own communication), I was in fact not a member. I recently found out they have been charging me annually, and monthly fees. They could not produce a contract that had been signed off on by me, therefore my credit card company reversed six months, or so, of charges. They will not let me cancel my membership, because they claim I owe them past/future money. They have collected 100s the CC company could not get back, since it was longer than six months ago. I have never used their gym since trying it out initially, covid was an extraordinary circumstance, and they see keen on taking advantage of it. I NEVER signed a contract. Now they have forwarded me to collections. I have called the location six times asking for the manager, every time they say I just missed him, or he is with another member and cannot be interrupted. Yet, he has never called me back. I want my membership to be canceled, and since they have already stolen some of my money, I do not think I owe them additional monies to do so. They used a pandemic to steal/blackmail individuals, then make it impossible to communicate with them, so as to intimidate people into paying them more just to escape their cycle of charges, with threats against ones credit a motivation. This business sales department is DESPICABLE. I have not, nor will I step foot into their gym again. To make matters worse they signed me up for the premium, so I can work out at any of their locales, yet only one was anywhere near me, so why would I ever want that particular membership. Oh, right, it costs more.

On March 30 before they restarted charges I called to cancel my membership. They let me know to finalize my cancellation that I also needed to provide written confirmation. I wrote them an email reconfirming my desire to cancel and they said my email counted as fulfilling the written confirmation requirement. Now they are saying my account is current and I owe membership fees. They are also saying my email confirmation wasn't written confirmation even though in that exact email they say that it counted as written confirmation.
