I tried to cancel my gym membership with Speakeasy Fitness on October 3rd, 2023. Their cancellation policy states that if you move more than 15 miles from their gym that you can break your contract. I sent proof that I moved more than 15 miles away (lease agreement, insurance change, bank statements), and they denied my documents because they weren't utility bills, but I moved back in with my parents and didn't have my name on any bills. They continued to charge me even today(December 12th, 2023) with their last payment being December 11th. I sent them the documents they wanted as soon as I was able to get my name on a utility bill. I sent them the utility bill November 3rd, and there has been no response to this day (Dec, 12) and they continue to charge my card even though I haven't been to their gym since September 2023 I've sent over 5 emails, and there has been NO response. I tried to call and show up at the gym in person but the manager's and employees just tell me "there is nothing we can do and we don't like speakeasy's policy either." I told them that I have gotten no response from the email they gave me, and they are know help. Speakeasy Fitness is stealing from me. I have put several blocks on my card and they continue to create a new merchant number so they can charge card. Each Fraudulent charge on my card has been in the amount of $34.98 since September 2023 At this point I don't know what to do, they're stealing money from me and I don't belong to there gym. Apparently they are doing this to multiple people via yelp.com
