On October 24, 2023, I stopped by the Shell station to get gas since my car had only bars left. The gas light was not yet lit. I paid 10 dollars cash and gassed the car. I didn't hold on to the hose just let fill on it's own due to cleaning the front window of the car. When I went back, I looked at the meter and it had marked the 10 I put and showed I had gotten **** gallons. I placed the pump back and left the gas station. When I turned the car on, it still showed 2 bars and now the low gas light was on. I drove around a block to give it time for the gas to show up. Still nothing. I drove back to the station and told the clerk, ******* what had happened. He responded " I don't know how your car works". I asked for a resolution and explained that my car, when I add 10 dollars, it gives me at least 5 bars, when the gas is over 6 dollars. It is a 4 cylinder car that holds 10 gallons, so putting in ****0 gallons will show. I want a refund because I know that I got 0 gas at that station.Business response

Thank you for contacting us regarding this complain.
1- Based on the attached receipt the customer provided. It shows that he already got the gas in his tank. The station is all computerized as I am sure he can see the amount of gas he got printed on his receipt, other wise the receipt will only show the amount he paid. Also we have no control over the customer tank and gage that should show the amount of gas got into the tank, for all we can say here his tank could be malfunctional and does not show the gas even though he got the gas in his tank.
My advise to the customer is to take the car to a mechanic and have the tank inspected and fixed.
2- One last thing the customer claims that the car takes 10 gallons. I will assume that is correct how can an empty tank gets one an half gallon and he expected to jump 4 **** which is almost close to half tank.
Unfortunately we can not refund the money to the customer.
