The Half Moon Bay / Sequoia Dignity Health Medical Group is going to either destroy your medical records or tell you that "they do not exist". My PCP at this doctors office left the practice in March of 2021 and since then I have been trying to access my medical records to provide to my new PCP (at a different doctors office, not affiliated with Dignity Health) which of course was assigned after this doctor had already left. In hindsight, if you are given notice that your PCP is leaving - request copies of your records immediately! Do not wait and assume that because they are a doctors office that they will take care of you and be professional. The complete opposite has been my experience. Initially I was told to call the Dignity Health Medical Records office. Then after calling this useless office for the last 16 months, with no answer and no return calls, to be told by the HMB Sequoia Dignity Health Medical Group that my records are there, to keep calling, and hopefully someone will get back to me soon. Seriously!? I called back to the doctors office to complain about this and the person I spoke to started giving me someone else's medical information; without checking to make sure that I was the same person! I had to raise my voice in order to interrupt her to tell her that she was giving me someone else's private information because she kept talking over me. Then she tells me that my records only date back to 2019. Which I find absolutely fascinating because while I was on the phone with her I was looking at receipts from this very doctors office dating back to 2011... riddle me that HMB Sequoia Dignity Health Medical Group! I would very much like to know how a medical office can destroy or lose medical records that I was not given a chance to get copies of or give consent to destroy. If you have a choice - DO NOT go to a Dignity Health Medical doctors office or hospital. The fact that they have an "F" rating on the BBB says it all!

Went to a Dignity Heath hospital called Mercy Gilbert ER in Gilbert, AZ. The problem was getting my test results for an expected disease that effects other people. They told me the results would not be back for 5 days.... fine... I wait.... and wait... and wait... After this time, I check with medical records and also have my family doctor formally request the records. The medical center says there are no records! WTF!? They charged my insurance for tests and there are no records!? I contact the hospital Administrator and she says she can't inform me of anything and to go to helloatdignityhealth.org to log into the patient portal, of which there is no login there, just info! She gave me a phone number for patient portal help and the guy says I need to call back the hospital!? WTMF!? IT'S HIS SOLE JOB AND HE WANTS TO SEND ME BACK!!!??? The website is useless and the only way to get access to any records is thru their patient portal which has no help at all ! DO NOT GO TO A DIGNITY HEALTH MEDICAL FACITLITY!!!
