Hopics made promise to help with LADWP *************** bill, and SoCalGas bill. They have reportedly been working to have this taken care of for the past 3 months and every time I check in with them, they say theyre working on it but dont have any updates. Im unable to set up a payment plan until they pay their portion or it can create conflict of payments. I have made a payment recently that I can afford but the balance is too large and I still need help. They promised and started the paperwork but always leave me not knowing what is going on. Im disabled and Hopics failed to pay their portion for several months. They left me with no worker for 5 months in 2023. All of the workers that *** had made personal complaints to me regarding the treatment of people like me. Im now being evicted due to non payment because I have no one returning my calls regarding my case. Now I have to spend money that I dont really have for an attorney, to buy time to move. This has affected my mental health and physical recovery.Initial Complaint

I was appointed a appointment on July 14,2023 at 8:00am, which I attended and was told from a case worker that was assigned to me the break down of a promising back pay rent that was going to be made to my landlord of 6 months in back rent,I was patiently waiting until my landlord started aggressively stating hes going to evict me,I have email proof of reaching out to the case worker a month later and ask for updates on august 2023,Its now Jan 20,2024 7 months with no responds or assistance, now Im a risk of losing my housing due to a lack of communication and furthering the process of assistance..Initial Complaint

In 2021 I contacted Hopics to help me stop an eviction nothing no one helped after getting the eviction removed I requested housing service but was told front desk receptionist what you want us to do we don't look for apartments for you you have to find your own place after meeting my assigned housing worker I had had fill out a stack of paperwork walked out and haven't heard or seen no since and it's now 2023 and housing authority tells me I can't go anywhere else for assistance I'm still homeless and I have a voucher as I watch other people without a voucher getting housing assistance moving right in brand new units no one at Hopics cares if you complain your just going to get blacklisted and I complained a year ago so I still homeless and can't ************** worker or Hopics.Initial Complaint

I came to the ******* street location 19 business days ago and have continually been ignored via phone and email. I was requesting homeless prevention services and told by an employee that the best way to get help would be contacting the supervisors supervisor which was my first red flag but I'd heard great things about this agency helping others so I remained hopeful. I've submitted all documents requested so that I could get assistance but whenever I call the supervisor to see if I've been moved forward for assistance, she does not answer nor does she return my calls. I'm approaching the deadline for ending ** in the streets and its hurtful that they have not so much as given me a call back to notify me if they can help or not. I don't doubt that this business has done good things in the community but my experience has proved otherwise. I'm hoping to get in touch with their founder, *******************, in order to report my experience. There should be mandatory requirements such as returning calls within 48 business hours or **************** within a certain timelines, especially for families with children. There doesn't seem to be a black or white answer as to whether or not they can help you, more of a hit and miss if you're lucky and get someone who cares.Initial Complaint

I moved in to this hopics "shared living" house at ************************************************************************. when I moved into this house December 2021, everything seemed to be okay until the 3rd month id say dramatically changed. I found myself in a very dangerous house where I did far for my life at times. I was harassed by the other roommates as well as my case worker *******. Whom revealed to me that her nephew was one of the clients ********************* or ********************* I forget his whole name but he was in room 3. Front unit. but anyways I have video footage of incidents that occurred and I was forced out of my room by the other clients. I was also almost Sexually assaulted by the downstairs roommate in room one who did go to jail and admit to attacking me also I was placed in his bedroom after the incident had occurred by the landlord so trauma after trauma I have video proof I really don't know what to say more I think you all should take a look at the videos please I was as well attacked by the backunit from a girl named **************** who attacked me with a crowbar and Chased me I was the only Caucasian person and it was well known that they did not like me I felt very attacked because little did they know I'm not even Caucasian I just looked this light I'm actually a Latina. Not that it mater to me but in the video I was attracted by racial comments as well as Physically attacked and I and I suffered emotional destr emotional abuse physical abuse all around mental abuse It got so bad to the point I Almost tried to commit suicide. When I tried to talk to my case manager it got worse because her nephew was part of the problem who lived in the house so who side did you think she took obviously not mine I got more attacked everyday take a look at the proof I have video proof I have over 16 videos I'm only going to send one so you could see what I'm talking about and we can discuss the others later I need some type of help from somebody because I never got it when requestedInitial Complaint

Hopics (homeless outreach program integrated care services) has been illegally operating and issuing money under my name and information to ******************************* of 3b Housing, LLC for months since August 23, 2022 when **************** terminated agreement I submitted the termination document(s) to HOPICS as required then Hud.gov and then government that funds the program. Under the advisement of *************************** Hopics employee for me to restart the program so as of February 27,2023 I was made aware of the fraud and the fraudulent payments that were by made also causing me damages and injury. I am being denied services and access to other programs/database because it shows in the government housing database that I'm being serviced and payments are being made in my name for housing program that I am not in and have been exited from also I went through the eviction process for non payment for multiple months starting April of 2022. Hopics is a corrupted fraudulent business (es) stealing people information and using it to commit fraud, causing harm to people like me that want help with homelessness and defrauding the government for their own personal gain. I have been refused from every homeless program due to hopics bad business fraud that their database has me stuck in with no services, no housing, and homeless while their paying **************** for nothing and billing/ taking/ stealing from the government and our country. I need the better business bureau help to stop this bad business from causing me anymore harm, damages and injuring my future. **************** terminated the agreement and I have no debt it's all fraudulent so please help.Initial Complaint
