      On 11/25/23, I contracted with Evite to send out party invitations. If anyone responds via a smart phone, Evite, in a very unclear manner, requires the respondent to provide their email address. This should not be a requirement for any reason other than Evite wants these email address to use in their marketing efforts. I did not pay them nor give them permission to harvest email addresses of my friends and family. As a result of this insane policy, I've wasted 3 hours of my time doing their work in responding to people calling me about this issue. Also, I've wasted time communicating with Evite, via chat(!), to learn of the folly of their business model.

      They withdrew additional money from our account without authorization. I've been trying to contact them without success.

      I have been trying to login to my account using the ******** SSO option. My account is created this way and I have events coming up and I cannot communicate with my guest or see updates on my RSVP. I have sent support tickets and no response or resolution. The customer service number says they reply in 24 hours. Its been over 24 hours, it has been days.

      I created electronic baby shower invitations through the Evite iPhone app, and when they were sent out, the graphic was totally distorted from the image it showed me on the preview page and I was not able to fix it. I tried to contact customer service and they were not open and did not get back to me. Unfortunately, my invitation had already been sent and there was no way to delete it or take it back that I could find. So everyone saw my invitation as a distorted image that they were not able to read the information from. I have requested a refund from Evite since their invitation service was not working properly and they have yet to get back to me now one month later.

      I purchased a E-gift card on Evite web site to send to my nephews and there was an error sending and the card wAs never sent or refunded to me. Their web site clearly states that the purchase is fully refundable. I cant get in touch with anyone to fix this

      I represent a non profit cemetery group. A birthday party was held the end of September on our grounds. The invitees were given an option to make a donation to us instead of a gift. We got over 20 alerts for donations. To-date, no donations has been conveyed to us.

      Attempted to purchase ad free premium invitation service from Evite on August 31st, 2022. I was unable to complete the transaction through their website, but in the process of making the attempt I was charged 3 times. I acknowledge on the 4th attempt, I was able to complete the invitation service by downgrading to their free, includes advertising, service. I attempted to contact their customer service which uses an automated process to send you to FAQs. They offer no apparent way to talk to a person. Since I used ******, I contacted the company through the ****** complaint process which sends a message to Evite. Evite refunded one of the 3 charges, but did not respond to the other 2 duplicate charges. I contacted them through the process twice, one week apart. I received no response. I am seeking a refund of the remaining charges. I can not conceive how their business actions that result in duplicative charges and zero customer support benefits them.

      I received an evite to an event sponsored by ***** to which I responded that I would come. But the response came from a different organization ******** ******* that I get evites from as well. Somewhere the wires got crossed so I don't know if my response went to the right group. Please explain what happened and if you can fix it.

      On July 5th, I purchased two evite invitations for my twin's birthday party. The party is on August 7th and I need to postpone the party until September. I sent multiple emails to evite's customer service account ******************* where they noted they will respond in 24 hours. Then I received automated emails the next day saying that they need 48 hours to respond. 4 days later, I still do not have a response from them. I need to reset the invites, and these instructions are not included on the FAQ document online. They also do not have a customer service number. The one noted when you google evite support refers you to the ***************** address where you don't receive a response.

      Continued promotional emails even with multiple unsubscribes and not using their service. Made evites last in 2018. Unsubscribed multiple times after that and got more emails. Even submitted support request on 1/27/21 and 8/26/21. Still getting emails.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/02) */ We have unsubscribed this user on 11/21/21, with a reply to her email on 11/21/21 with the confirmation, the day before she opened up the complaint with BBB. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/12/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have continued to receive 5 additional emails since the complaint. Also somehow not being removed despite previous unsubscribes. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/12/10) */ The user has been successfully unsubscribed. The first time she was opted out, the opt-out values did not pass ******* our program's API. We had to manually go into the system and have tech unsubscribe her. This was an edge case that does not happen often if at all, but something we need to take a look at with the program that we use to unsubscribe. Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2021/12/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Have not received additional promotional emails since 12/10/21. They've explained this circumstance was unusual and removed me manually.
