I enrolled almost 4 years ago. It had been the worse 4 years I have had to go through. They took all of my money each month and I am left with dealing with the creditors myself. Awful company. Stay away from this company. They are only collecting money for themselves. I wish I never came into contact with them. They took over 10thousand dollars from me and never did what they were payed for.Review from Robert T

I agreed to a 4 year payment plan and I'm finding out now when I think I'm done it's 5 years because they only estimate. Buyer beware! They even made a final settlement a $1000 more than the documents I uploaded to the portal which the company would settle for. Bad business ??.Review from Penny J

They are very untrustworthy. They tell you what you want then 4 years later. Lied about what they do. They will not hold up on their end of the deal. Do not use them to help youReview from William B

Used this company to payoff credit cards, was setup for 4 years, started off well but at the end they did not payoff all of my cards and was trying to continue to charge me past the 4 year mark, also asked for extra money a few times. Do not use this company, very shady.Review from Amanda B

This program is completely predatory, hurting people in debt rather than helping them. I enrolled in the Whitestone Legal debt settlement program in August of 2019. While my contract stated that Whitestone would remain accountable to a performance standard of a minimum 35% reduction of debt, that performance standard goes out the window if a creditor decides to file litigation. Whitestone does NOTHING to plan for or prevent litigation, and in fact I'm fairly sure they welcome it since it means less work on their part. In fact, I sent them multiple letters I received from a creditor containing offers for more than a 50% reduction of a debt, which they ignored for more than a year, resulting in that creditor suing me and the debt getting settled at near the full amount (only a 4% reduction). Ultimately, I enrolled in the program with six creditors and $42,419 in debt...three years later, three of the six creditors filed litigation and I ended up taking out a loan to get out of this program and had to pay Whitestone $43,544.71. That's right--I left this program paying over a thousand dollars more than I originally enrolled! Whitestone claims that "the creditors were more aggressive than anticipated," but did nothing proactive to prevent any kind of litigation and sat on valid settlement offers from creditors for so long they ended up suing. Despite numerous calls and emails to customer service requesting formal review of my account in light of this information, I was told that there is no circumstance under which Whitestone will offer any kind of compensation or apology for their failure to act on the correspondence I sent them from creditors. At this point my goal is to just make sure everyone steers clear of this predatory company--you're better off taking out a loan or declaring bankruptcy than dealing with this nightmare of an organization.Review from Brenda A

I Enrolled in the DEBIT relief program. First payment was paid on 12-25-2019.
I sent them a request to pay my account in full on 6-30-22.. My records indicated I would pay an additional 10,752.70 by XX- XX-XX
I recieved my request today an ESTIMATED settlement of $18,719.66... Keep in mind I have already paid them to date $18,740.02...
I was just modified sick depressed..
I told them to remove the 3 accounts from the program they haven't even touched as I can pay them myself cheaper..
Then I will look into paying the others the CLAIM to have already set up a payment plan on...
I feel so violated.. I was diagnosed with Brest cancer June of 2019 and thought by hiring them would make my situation easier and yet they are more costly than my Cancer treatments and care have been..
I regret ever letting this company convince me they were on my side..
I never spoke with the so called attorney that was representing me..
I just feel like such a fool...
I was planning a vacation to see my 86 year old Father that I haven't seen in over 5 years but will need to cancel it and get myself out of this mess they createdReview from Cheryl M

I began my program in October 2019 and have deposited over $11,500. Since that time I have had a judgement against me on the account that they were supposed to be negotiating, no action was taken on a settlement proposal of $8000 that I forwarded to Whitestone in 2020. Today, I received notification that there's a settlement offer of $13,000 however they would only apply $5,610 of my savings toward the settlement, I would still pay monthly to them until August 2023 and then pay directly to the company for the difference of $8k. That would be me paying double what I owed originally. I want to contact my debtor directly and a full refund for doing nothing over 3 years. If I could give negative stars I would. The whole point of this was to settle this for the least amount possible. I have been unemployed since COVID hit and cannot afford to throw money away.Review from Joel

I invested $570 dollars per month for the past 28 months in Whitestone Legal Group. They indicated that they would create a savings account for me and negotiate the credit card debts I was given after a divorce. I recently discovered that I only had $1800 left in my savings account and very little of the debt has been settled. I stopped the payments and requested my savings returned to me. So far I have not received any of it.Review from Michael

You can read every review on here and you will read the same thing over and over. I am a current client and I have had multiple issues since joining in 2019. Please do yourself a favor and do not do business with this company. They do not solve financial issues, they create them.Review from Jenn

Weirdly, my "guy" Kevin Reid disappeared. Stopped answering calls, never called back, that was 6-8 mos ago, STILL have not heard from WLG to reappoint someone. I stopped pmts at my bank because I couldn't get my payments deferred when I was out of work AND they would tell me "don't worry, we can put the money back if it comes out" <-------- That NEVER happened. They cost me overdrafts for taking the money out AFTER I was told my deferral was processed. What a disaster. I don't even know how much of my money they got before I stopped the draft. I really should have done my research before calling them. I got their number from a radio commercial.. (hello RED flag!!!!!!) My credit was upper 700s before them, now it's terrible.
