I purchased 5 school tables in July of 2022. The tables took until the last week of September to arrive. When they arrived the truck driver insisted I sign the receipt before he could take them off the truck. He left a large, wrapped pallet in my parking lot and drove away. One item was damaged, and all the tables did not come with their legs- even though the description said they would. I contacted the company. They will only send me legs if I pay for them! They claim it is my fault because I should have made sure before I signed the receipt- claiming they sent me this warning via email (I did not receive). This wouldn't have been possible. The driver was insistent I could not get them off the truck before signing. I believe this is fraudulent and they refuse to make it right.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/06) */ It was confirmed that the shipment included the legs in separate cartons but they were lost in transit by the shipping carrier. We also emailed receiving instructions which state to inspect shipment for any damages/shortages and make note of it on the shipping paperwork before signing off on the shipment. Because the shipment was signed off as "received in good order", we cannot file a claim with the carrier for the lost legs. Regardless of this, we offered to cover half the price for the replacement legs. Attached is the screenshot of the email we sent with receiving instructions and read receipt. They want me to pay 1/2 the price of "replacement" parts but for parts I never received. They say that me not receiving them is my fault, it is not. I ordered 5 items and received 5 boxes. There is no way of knowing prior to "signing " that they sent the table tops without their legs. I have 5 legless tables. This seems instead as a way for them to make an additional $300.00 on their sale. There really is no other explanation. I ordered around 2 months ago 4 special chairs from ***************** 1) They did not specify that the item is not in stock and took the order. Had I known it, I would order somewhere else. 2) After finalizing the order and them getting paid, suddenly I was charged a ******** **** almost the same amount as the price for the 4 chairs altogether. This high cost or any shipping price was not given at the time of order. 3) after all the wait I finally got the email that the order is being shipped however I need to give them a contact of my costumes broker. When I advised that I never had such a request and do not have one, and that usually it is sent with UPS and I have an account with them and they do the customs brokerage as well if needed, they told me, that I have to arrange my self with UPS the pickup and shipping, When I said can't & prefer them to do it as every seller takes care of the shipping. THEY JUST ********* THET ORDER.. Intentionally inducing great damage to my businessBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/04) */ We were clear that any customs prices were not part of the shipping price that we provided after you placed the order. The website states that shipping to Canada will either require you to request a quote first or that if you proceed with the order then we will reach out to you with a shipping quote. You also stated that you would sue us so that is when we decided to cancel out your order and refund all your money back as we do not wish to be sued.
