My credit card was very unexpectedly charged $29.99 by doozycardsl, even though I have never even looked at their website before -- certainly never used their services. I would like a full refund of this charge.I'm attaching a screenshot of my credit card statement portion showing the charge.Business response

The customer has been refunded & their membership closed. There will be no future charges. They had signed up for a membership last year on July 10, 2022 and were perhaps unaware the membership would renew or lost track of the membership. We were happy to refund the charge and close the account for the customer.Initial Complaint

I paid yearly charge for Doozy Cards in February 2022, and was charged on February 14, 2023 for the next year. I was not warned about automatic renewal as promised. The charge was about $39. lBusiness response

The customer did indeed subscribe to our greeting card membership. As stated, the membership did renew at the one year anniversary. Members are made aware of the automatic renewal when they subscribe and they retain the option to cancel that subscription at any time during their year(s) of membership. Though we make no specific promise about notification, the renewal date of the membership is always visible in the member's account profile, visible when logged into their membership.
The renewal price of the membership is $29.99. If the customer did indeed get charged for $39 we will be happy and eager to refund any difference and investigate why the charge exceeded our normal price. We can be reached at ********************************* Our response time is usually within 24 to 48 hours. Also, if the customer does not wish to remain a member for the second year, we will be happy to cancel their membership and refund the $29.99.
