My wife and I bought a new faucet and a water dispenser. We had Plotke Plumbing install them April 1, 2022 and we were billed a total of $1009.58 as we had other work performed on the same day. We had rarely used the water dispenser, but when we used it, it was not installed properly and became loose. We contacted Plotke and told them that the water dispenser they installed came loose. They went and repaired it on 6/9/2022. We were under the assumption that it was under warranty. Lo and behold, we received a bill for another $170 to reinstall the water dispenser. We complained to them that it was within warranty as they just installed it a couple of months before. They did their investigation and concluded that since their invoice only showed sink faucet was installed, the water dispenser repair is a new job. The previous workers on April 1 denied that they installed the water dispenser. This is a lie, and nobody but them touched the kitchen sink. Their failure to give an accurate itemized work performed receipt was their evidence that they did not install it. If I knew how to install kitchen faucet and water dispenser, I would not have called them at all. They obviously just want to nickel and dime us, which is totally disappointing as we have been their loyal customers for more than 25 years. My wife paid the bill today (Aug 5, 2022) as they have sent 3 past due invoices. However I still believe that this is not fair and nobody should lie just to make an extra $170.
