I received an $100 electronic gift card for Christmas present 2023. I've been to many branches of this restaurant over the past 5 months to redeem the gift card but none of them will accept the gift card for payment. As of today, the BB.Q chicken website is still selling gift cards online. Gift cards that none of the stores will accept. This is fraud. The branches i've been to are: ****************, ***********, ******* and ************ (I went to ********* yesterday. they told me over the phone the day before that they will accept it but then refused to accept it when i arrived the next day). I wrote a complaint to the headquarters of the company (throught their website) but they checked my gift card number and said it is" valid/active" and refused to refund my money. How can it be "valid" if none of their stores accept it. I have a piece of paper worth $100!!! Do I have to fly to ***** to use it???. Can the headquarters just invalidate my worthless e-gift card and send me a check for $100???So frustrating for the customer. If they don't accept the gift card in restaurants, they should be forced to take down the sale of e-gift cards on their website because this is fraud.
