We received the complaint mails Friday Nov 10, and went to *************** house on Monday Nov 13. We went to check it out, his main complaints were that-
-the gutter did not look like the neighbors, mind you it was fully functional, it was that cosmetically he was unhappy and said we needed to lift the gutter up more. Apparently, he was advised by another roofer that the gutter needed to be higher, when we asked for that other roofers number, he was unable to comply and said that he did not know the number. The gutter is fully functional.
-some ridge caps color was a little different from the other ridge caps. We complied and told him we would replace it, we asked him if we could take a sample to match the color, he did not let us. We asked if we could take a picture to match the color, he did not let us.
We asked to solve this through a license board inspector, to fully inspect these issues, and as we were discussing possible plans to solve this issue with the license board inspector, his wife comes out and tells us to get out of her property and was throwing a fit. We were trying to resolve this issue and were abruptly kicked out for explaining our points and wanting to have an official inspection. After this issue is resolved, I would like to not be contacted by ***** and his wife regarding this cosmetic issue as weve tried to resolve this in a professional and just matter. There is no problem functionality wise, no issues regarding rain and inside damage, essentially, we did the job we promised to do. We do not guarantee our jobs to be the MOST cosmetically perfect, we try to as no one likes to look at something unpleasant, but issues like the gutter placement do not feel like an issue that is causing them problems(structurally), except for their problem/need for the gutters to look like their neighbors. It is not a problem that NEEDS to be attended to. Regardless, we always guarantee to do our best work.
